While I can't speak to how any mattress will "feel" for someone else because this is too subjective and relative to different body types, sleeping positions, and individual preferences, sensitivities, and circumstances ... outside of PPP and how well you sleep the most important part of the value of a mattress purchase is durability which is all about how long you will sleep well on a mattress

 This is the part of your research that you can't see or "feel" and assessing the quality/durability and useful life of a mattress depends on knowing the specifics of its construction and the type and quality of the materials inside it regardless of the name of the manufacturer on the label (or how a mattress feels in a showroom or when it is relatively new) so I would always make sure that you find out  information listed here so you can compare the materials and components to the  quality/durability guidelines here to make sure there are no lower quality materials or weak links in a mattress that would be a cause for concern relative to the durability and useful life of a mattress before making any purchase.

 That Classic medium firm feel when I'm resting/\s/ on my back. I Really notice that zoned support/\s/in the middle. It helps my back stay in a nice/\s/ neutral alignment. Moving To my side, I can tell/\s/that the top part is a bit softer, because I feel/\s/ some cushioning along my shoulders

 Beneath/\s/that another layer of transition foam. Now Moving/\s/ down we're gonna have the main support layer/\s/of this mattress, individually wrapped coils./\s/ Very supportive and also zoned so firmer towards/\s/the center of the mattress, gives targeted support/\s/ for back sleepers, and makes it a good fit for/\s/multiple sleeping positions. Now Moving down to/\s/ the final layer, some dura dense foam for support/\s/for the entire mattress

/\s/ Thankfully, I had to help Elisa to help me get/\s/it unboxed. It took a little bit of time, again,/\s/ it is bigger. Getting it flipped over was a little/\s/bit difficult. But After a while, we were good/\s/ cleared the plastic away and after a few days it/\s/was fully expanded

 Again, excellent balance of/\s/comfort and support so support from coils extra/\s/ zoning and plush layers right on top. Speaking of/\s/that plushness if you like more of a pillow top/\s/ feel with your mattress or a responsive hybrid/\s/feel you get both with this mattress If you like/\s/ that, take a look at the Helix Midnight Luxe and/\s/also a great match for hot sleepers with the coils/\s/ a lot of room for airflow, optional cooling cover/\s/which definitely works and more cooling materials/\s/ Now speaking of cons, probably not the best match/\s/for stomach sleepers again more of a medium firm/\s/ mattress. Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress Review - Best Hybrid Mattress!?

My wife (5'6", 140, primarily side with some back sleeper) and I (5'9" 200, sleeps every which way) (Both of us are heavier than we were about a year ago and intend to get back to where we were, which is 130, 180 respectively) have laid on a lot of mattresses over the last week or so, and thus far our favorites have been the Helix Dusk Luxe and the Layla Hybrid. We both have a slight preference for the Layla hybrid.

 We still haven’t found a bed we are sure we are going to keep. But the Winkbed Softer and Helix Midnight Luxe seem to be the best we’ve tried so far.

So I’ve recently been put in the position to buy a new mattress for myself, moving to a new city and finally having a nice budget to get something I like. Previously I’ve just inherited mattresses from parents or friends and I’ve always hated them, but couldn’t afford to buy something myself. Always too firm (I’m 5’6” and 120 lbs, everything felt like a rock). I bought a cheap $200 mattress while having a limited budget and supplemented with toppers. 

So time to get something I really liked for once! I was super excited to see my options. Little did I know what a disaster online shopping for mattresses is. Everything is an ad, every YouTube review or blog is affiliated and paid for, and always vague in description to capture anyone who stumbles upon the review. 

Lurking here for a few days I learned more of what to avoid for myself but I’m so lost as to what will be a good fit for me. I don’t want to be scammed by these mattress brands and have something I dislike for several years. 

I’m 5’6” and 120 lbs, mostly side sleeper and sometimes stomach sleeper. Firm mattresses leave my shoulders and hips in pain. My bf is 6’ 190lbs and is a side and stomach sleeper too. We both run hot at night so something that’s not full foam would be better for us. We both like a softer plush mattress, king sized, like sleeping in a nice hotel bed, and have a decent budget of $1-2k to find something we will really love. 

From my research I feel like the best suited for us would be the Layla or the Nest Alexander Signature hybrids. Anyone have these and can vouch for them? Also I’m open to any suggestions on how to narrow down a mattress.

I had no idea what a scam the mattress industry is

You can actually see when hubby lays on it, that it looks like his hips are sinking in way too much to be supportive. We were considering the Helix Midnight Luxe if this one didn't work out, but after looking at it, it's almost the exact same as the DreamCloud, so not sure that makes sense.

I have the Midnight Luxe. I can’t compare it to the others you mentioned, though. Sorry!. What I can say is, compared to the old memory foam I switched over from, the Helix is definitely cooler

Prior to trying the Helix we tried the Tempur Pro adapt and the Gladney at Mattress firm and loved them but decided we would give the Helix a shot so when we decided to return the Helix, we went and bought the Tempur ProAdapt. Loved the bed but it was absurdly warm. (Live in Florida and we sleep warm.) Since the Gladney has a bit less dense memory foam, we exchange the Tempur for the Gladney.

We have been on the Gladney for a month and despite finding the bed extremely comfortable and a touch cooler than the Tempur, we still find it very hot. Even with all the cooling tech, its significantly warmer than both our old bed and the Helix. 

Based on the write up, it sounds like the Helix Midnight Luxe might be a closer feeling to the Gladney and offer a comfortable bed that would be much cooler but don't want to go through the hassle unless there is a decent shot of success.

So is anyone able to compare the Helix Luxe Midnight to either: The Gladney, ProAdapt or the Dusk Luxe? haha

Helix Midnight Luxe - by far the worst, bed is way too firm and I keep waking up in the night with leg or arm numbness and my back is super sore in the morning. They already offered a soft topper and it doesn’t help. I need someone in between the Helix and the Sedona. Pressure relieving yet supportive
