 The physics and force feedback and car handling in general has been priced by millions of people over the years. The best example to showcase these will be the Formula One drivers that choose this simulator to do their hot lapping videos and showcase their real life skills and showcase the real life interactions that they have. the way they approach the circuit, which curves they touch, how they touch the curve, all the little details, and they replicate them exactly in the simulator and the behavior is the same. especially when you get the best quality Formula One mods available

 Even if there is a small vocal minority that criticizes the force feedback and the physics behavior of the cars, we have to remember that most drift drivers flock to this simulator. for some reason. there are simulators where it is even impossible to drift of how bad the physics are implemented, and being one of the best in drifting can be a good example of realistic expected behavior from the cars. Even now, at the end of 2021, some companies still release games and simulators that they expect people to play with really high end or lower force feedback Wheels and the physics models are pretty bad and outdated

 The first thing that we need to look is the optimization. This is very well optimized and you can run it on really really low end machines or really really high-end machines and it will adapt and you have a lot of flexibility to get a lot of different results. If you consider the mods for the higher end machines, then the Sky is the limit Because the mods are still being developed and every month with every update, the mods keep the game looking better and better at the same time. You can choose how much you can use of anything and the performance impact is not that big because this again is very well optimized

Assetto Corsa Review 2021 2022 why is it still relevant?

 The graphics haven't aged well and way too much of the content is dlc only. This isn't a deal breaker though, as the game's physics still make for an incredibly realistic experience. This game is good for transitioning to Sim, but also a must for those already enjoying simulator games. For six years old, I think it has fared pretty well overall

 These two sessions can be up to 45 minutes long each, but otherwise all the customization options are the same as the quick race. There's also an online mode. This is the only multiplayer part of the game and it's quite hit and miss to say the least. Most of the servers have few people in them, but if you can find a lobby without a 70 million minute practice session, you can get some good races in unless you get shunted off at the first corner which happened in my first ever online race

 It's quite hit and miss depending on the car, although the general trend is that cars sound alright from the inside and very odd from the chase view. Yes, the chase view. There's a good level of customization, and these races are quite good to use as practice. Next is the race weekend mode

 Some people said it was by far the best looking racing game on console, but that was before Gt Sport was released. The graphics are fine, there's nothing particularly wrong with them, and they don't hurt the experience too much. There's a lack of detail and textures though, and the reflections on cars are almost non-existent Shadows moving over cars are also actually noticeably lower frame rate than the rest of the game, which runs on a Ps4 Pro at a pretty solid 60.

 There is a brilliance in some racing games when you're twisting and turning around corners that seem place just to make sure you're not daydreaming and the glow of sunlight is piercing through trees and you're mainlining right through it. And that is when Aceto is at its absolute most brilliant. It's also very, very rare, because really, other than some excellent overall vehicular models, the game is consistently at odds with everything within its package. See: Asceto is aiming for 60 Fps on the consoles, and the last time I heard the word aim, someone had to have their big toes sewed onto the hole where their thumb used to be

 Well, you see, it just never stays very long. At 60, you can actually sense the frame rates always going up to 60 or running away from it. It's actually a little bit uncomfortable to watch. Sort of like the screen tearing, which is so prevalent in both versions, the Ps4 and the Xbox one that it might as well be called a friggin' feature

Assetto Corsa Review "Buy, Wait for Sale, Rent, Never Touch?"

. There are less tracks and cars than the likes of GT Sport and PC2, but for pure driving experience this is the best!

 If you just like trying to get the best lap time, and tinkering with your setup, this is for you. There's no proper career, just a set of lap tome challenges and races to progress. You can also setup your own races and race weekends against the AI. And then there's online racing

 The game physics make it harder than GT 7, but that is a good thing. A greater driving challenge.

Accurate physics. So-so graphics.

This review is for AC played with a Valve Index and using Custom shader patch 1.75 and Content manager.

I play using a Xbox controller and with some adjustments to the settings it gets a lot more fun and easy to control. I will include the settings I've found to work best below.

 The sheer amount of mess left in the aftermath of races is wild, and yet almost never affects framerate. I've had some bad slowdown on Xbox fighting through a field of tightly-packed RVs tearing each other to bits, but other than that, it's been extremely stable. The AI deserves a special mention as well for giving as good as it takes, and they're tough but fallible foes. They ruin my races occasionally, but remember, that's the point

 Each has been meticulously detailed to look like a hand-painted, hastily welded rust bucket, and while they're not licensed, gearheads are sure to recognise a classic Volvo 240 estate, a Honda CRX or a Mk1 Escort when they see them. They're sound as cool as they look too. There are a tonne of great visual customisation options and liveries available, though Wreckfest is definitely screaming for some kind of rudimentary paint editor where we can spray our own numbers and messages. Performance tuning is included too, but it's a bit disappointing Bugbear opted to 8 the Forza and Need for Speed approach with clean and sterile upgrade menus that are in conflict with the grungy junkyard spirit we're bathed in everywhere else

Equally smashing, of course, is the actual smashing, whether you're careening through trackside objects or mercilessly pole-axing your opposition. Wreckfest's wonderful soft-body dynamics mean the cars can be bruised, battered and bent beyond recognition

 Car upgrades are easy to do, but slow to unlock. Biggest grievance is that the load times are quite bad for this generation consoles.

 You can only play against humans over the internet - which is hugely profitable for microsoft, I'm sure. Making this for PS3/PS4 would be awesome.

Everything a racing game should have, every crashing physics and damages with all parts and pieces flying everywhere especially the environment barriers breaking as well when hitting it too hard or slamming into it haha 

The Logitech wheel works for the game, but you have to set it up yourself, which is a bummer. I must not be that good at it, because I can steer way easier with a controller (especially for the smaller vehicles).
