 So the price of the Noosa Tri 13 is $130, and I actually think that that's a pretty reasonable price for this type of shoe, however, it gets a yellow because of the Evo Ride 2. The Evo Ride 2 has the exact same midsole and outsole as the Noosa Tri 13, so essentially you're getting that same ride, it just has a different upper, and that costs $10 less. So although you're saving $10 with the Evo Ride 2, you are getting about half an ounce. But still, I think that this should be the same price as the Evo Ride 2, I mean I can see why it's not, but still, it saves you a little weight and you get a more comfortable upper in my opinion, but you pay that extra $10

 My midfoot always felt secure in the Nusa Tri 13, and even going around tight corners I never felt like I was sliding around. The engineered mesh upper was super comfortable and had a good amount of flexibility. There was a good amount of padding around the ankle collar and on the tongue, and it didn't overdo it, it had just the right amount. The cutouts in the mesh allow a good amount of airflow through the shoes, and even on hot long runs my feet weren't suffocated

 Alright now let's talk about this midsole. Although the Nusa Tri 13 gets more cushioning than the older versions, it still isn't super thick for today's standards, or when it's compared to something like the GlideRide 2. It's stack height comes in at 34mm in the heel, 29mm in the forefoot, and that brings us to a 5mm heel to toe drop. So this shoe uses regular flight foam throughout the whole midsole, and this allows for a nice responsive ride that isn't too firm, and especially once it's broken in, it gives you a little extra forgiveness

 So after doing 13 miles in this shoe, my legs didn't feel as fresh as they would have if there was a softer, more forgiving foam underneath my feet, so that's kind of why I gave this a yellow light. However, I do think that this is a really good option if you're doing a long workout, a long progressive run, that type of thing, this shoe could really excel there. Finally, for recovery day, the Noosa Tri 13 gets another yellow light. So just like what I talked about with long run day, for recovery days, I really want a plush and marshmallow shoe, and this shoe is just a little too responsive for that

After 100 miles, I'm ready to give you my full review of the ASICS Noosa Tri 13! Is this one of the most underrated shoes of 2021, or is it just a niche shoe?

It fits like no other shoe (for me). A a lot of brands making shoes that barely last, this truly is value for money.

 Therefore you land on your heel very softly and then you are getting propelled effectively and softly forward. Beforehand on the previous versions, I thought the shoe was very flat and harsh on the landings, but now it just feels straight forward and tremendously snappy in the roll from heel to toe. Clearly not a shoe that weights around, but it just wants to move forward and it wants to chase the finish line both during your practice and during the race. That is something I clearly have noticed during my training

 Colorful, wild, light, efficient and eye-catching, that's probably the five words I would use to describe the latest model from ASICS, the ASICS Nusa Tri 13. I clearly remember ASICS Nusa Tri from my triathlon time. Separating itself from most other shoes, I quickly bought a pair, convinced it was the shoe for triathletes. But it wasn't, at least not back then

 So the Asics Nusa Tri 12 was pretty much like a neutral version of the DS Trainer and it was pretty much your typical road racing flat. So the Nusa Tri 13 gets a huge redesign and the midsole is actually based off of the EvoRide 2. So it's still designed for speed for your triathlon training and racing but now with more cushion. So after a few runs I'm ready to give you my first impressions

ASICS NOOSA Tri 13 First Impressions - YouTube

These are pretty nice shoes, they look awesome and I’ve gotten lots of complements on them. I’m a nurse and haven’t had any issues being on my feet for extended periods of time and they’re very lightweight. They’re pretty comfortable, are they $130 comfortable? Eh, probably not but they look cool enough that I’d say worth it.

 I actually lost mine so I just have the regular tie up laces. And for those of you wondering, yes the insole is removable. This shoe fits true to size. I had no issues with the upper whatsoever, very very comfy

 So the Nusa 13 in my men's size 8.5, weighs in at 7.9 ounces or 224 grams. The Nusa 13 has a stack height of 26 in the rear, 21 in the forefoot for heel to toe drop of 5mm

 Hey guys, Destah here. Today I'm giving my full review on the very fun and wild looking ASICS Nusa Tri 13. Now if you're unfamiliar with this line, ASICS has been doing the Nusa Tri shoe for many many years, but now in the 13th iteration of the shoe it's been radically changed from previous versions. This shoe is now no longer in the stability category, mind you it was more in a mild stability category before, now it's a neutral road running shoe and the whole design of the shoe has been totally changed

I am very impressed with the Asics Noosa Tri 13! Built on the same platform as the Asics Evoride 2, the Asics Noosa Tri 13 differs mostly in the upper...and colorway options, obviously! Equipped with a seamless upper and optional elastic laces, the Noosa 13 can be worn sockless and makes for very quick transitions from bike to run. Triathletes aside, I think the Noosa 13 can be a great lightweight daily trainer for pure runners too. For me, the Asics Noosa 13 handles all paces well, really shining at tempo to race pace efforts. Well done Asics!

Nice. I have this cooler in my Ghost, big props to Noctua for bringing it out. Glad to see it is usable in different cases.

Sliding into place

 I think i first ran out straight out of the box. Looking for 10 kind of steady miles running 10 miles in around an hour and some strides and by the end of the run, i could kind of feel that they were a little bit kind of ponderous heavy on the legs and compared to some other options. Um, you know, there's not a huge amount of kind of bounce or rebound here or a very snappy transition. It'S all kind of solid cruisery i'd say it's how i describe it like

 It'S still got that sort of conventional feel. It feels like a very stable, comfortable shoe when you're running around in it um, but then again it doesn't feel like it does anything other than that. I think for me the um, i'm, a big fan of the glittering 19 shoe um and that shoe is a lot, has a bit more softness to it. It feels a little bit more cushioned when you're running it's a lot more for me, a lot more enjoyable to run in it just feels like a really nice easy run, shoe um that you can go a little bit faster in the brooks ghost 14

 Overall, this is a pretty solid shoe uh, it's a nice, robust kind of um, fairly comfortable, not entirely slow shoe that can do you know a decent job of a few different things, but there are certainly better options out there and i'd expect slightly more from the Ghost line in the future, hopefully with that new phone, so my verdict on the ghost 14 is that it's an old classic reliable shoe. I think if you've tried a ghost shoe before you're, not going to be particularly surprised by the shoe you're going to be happy that it's still got the same sort of feel and the same sort of benefits that you're probably used to getting from that shoe, which A reliability and a nice level of upper comfort, um and, to be honest, you won't be disappointed in it, but i think um there's a lot of good shoes out there at the moment. A lot of shoes that have a lot more performance features in them. A lot of sort of technically advanced students when it comes to the midsole foams that you can get, and i just don't think this really competes with those

Brooks Ghost 14 Review | A Conventional Daily Shoe That Sticks To What It Does Best

 More rebound if that's what you might be in the market for. It's a good alternative to reduce some weight as compared to the Nimbus or Cumulus.

Hi, I have been running mostly with ASICS Gel-Cumulus, occasionally in Gel-Nimbus in past years. Very satisfied because of the cushioning, wide front of the shoe, durability, drop, even price. Generally I need cushioning and higher drop due to my Achilles problems and I have wider front part of the foot so need space. Looking for neutral shoes (I have even slight underpronation) and mid-foot striking. I am still pretty much recreational runner with 100-150 km/monthly in 5:45-6:45 min/km pace.

I am thinking what other options I might have:

1) ASICS Novablast - I have no experience with them but they look cool, what is the main difference to Cumulus/Nimbus?

2) New Balance - any interesting alternatives?

3) Brooks Ghost - I have quite good experience with Cascadia for trail running, would Ghost be an interesting alternative to ASICS?

I know that if one is satisfied long-term with a certain brand/type, there is no big reason to change, still, I want to evaluate other shoes as well.
