The Archer Ikon is sort of a 2 in one guitar pedal. It can be used as just a clean boost by turning the gain all the way down. As you introduce gain it will attenuate the clean signal but there is a magical blend in between that you will find. Please experiment!

 I tell you what, this pedal wasn't designed by a politician, definitely not and you know why, you know why? Because this is transparent and politicians don't even know what transparent means usually. So this is the most transparent pedal that I ever ever tried in my life, this is amazing, there's no compression at all so this is definitely not a tube screamer circuit, you know tube screamer circuit usually pushes the mid frequencies and adds a lot of compression into the sound when you increase the gain and put your lead guitar sound in the face, that's another completely different approach, I don't say that is better or worse or anything, that's just a different approach, why this one doesn't add any fucking compression, it doesn't add any middle range, any treble, any bass, anything, just overdrives the original signal, it's fucking amazing. So let's keep adding gain, let's see what's going on. So, the gain is at 3 o'clock and this was the first time I felt a bit of compression, still not much and a lot of overdrive now so it's proper overdrive sound now and maybe just a tad it started darkening the sound so after this spot, this was the sweet spot I think, the sweet spot is around 2 or 3 o'clock and it started darkening the sound so a bit of treble adjustment needed, let's see what's going on, keep going

 This company Jay Rocket Audio Designs came out with probably, probably a lot of people say this, probably the best clone of the original Clone Center pedal. So this pedal is available for around $190, $200 so it's not that expensive obviously this is a clone but a really good clone and as you can read it on the forums and even on the website of this company, the original designer Mr. Bill Finnegan have this company to designing this pedal so that's maybe the reason why it's so bloody close. They say it's very, very hard to hear the difference between the original and this pedal

 Obviously when you start increasing the gain it will overdrive the original signal but

 You know, if the notes, if your picking is not perfect like mine, I just felt when I

 played the previous example there were notes that didn't sound alright and you know what,

 because there's no compression in the pedal it doesn't increase the volume of the dead
