The Archer Ikon is sort of a 2 in one guitar pedal. It can be used as just a clean boost by turning the gain all the way down. As you introduce gain it will attenuate the clean signal but there is a magical blend in between that you will find. Please experiment!

 I tell you what, this pedal wasn't designed by a politician, definitely not and you know why, you know why? Because this is transparent and politicians don't even know what transparent means usually. So this is the most transparent pedal that I ever ever tried in my life, this is amazing, there's no compression at all so this is definitely not a tube screamer circuit, you know tube screamer circuit usually pushes the mid frequencies and adds a lot of compression into the sound when you increase the gain and put your lead guitar sound in the face, that's another completely different approach, I don't say that is better or worse or anything, that's just a different approach, why this one doesn't add any fucking compression, it doesn't add any middle range, any treble, any bass, anything, just overdrives the original signal, it's fucking amazing. So let's keep adding gain, let's see what's going on. So, the gain is at 3 o'clock and this was the first time I felt a bit of compression, still not much and a lot of overdrive now so it's proper overdrive sound now and maybe just a tad it started darkening the sound so after this spot, this was the sweet spot I think, the sweet spot is around 2 or 3 o'clock and it started darkening the sound so a bit of treble adjustment needed, let's see what's going on, keep going

 This company Jay Rocket Audio Designs came out with probably, probably a lot of people say this, probably the best clone of the original Clone Center pedal. So this pedal is available for around $190, $200 so it's not that expensive obviously this is a clone but a really good clone and as you can read it on the forums and even on the website of this company, the original designer Mr. Bill Finnegan have this company to designing this pedal so that's maybe the reason why it's so bloody close. They say it's very, very hard to hear the difference between the original and this pedal

 So first of all warranty card, nobody reads this sort of manual, it's a guitar pedal, you shouldn't read the manual but the pedal itself, here you go and I don't need the box anymore so let's see the pedal. This is gold because it clones the gold clone center, there was a silver and there was a gold and this pedal replicates, copies or clones whatever word or emulates the gold clone center so let's plug it in. Obviously when you start increasing the gain it will overdrive the original signal but doesn't color the sound so this is why the original clone center is a bloody masterpiece because it doesn't color the sound and that's why it's such sought after pedal and this one does a perfect job. Because the gain is at 9 o'clock now and still not much going on, maybe it started scratching the surface with the overdrive so the notes are a bit thicker, maybe it's fattened the sound up a bit, let's keep increasing the gain and see what's going on

This is the crunchiest setting the plumes has to offer. When played through a clean amp, it’ll deliver a reasonable facsimile of that classic black and gold British valve amp tone. If you already set your amp Dirty, using this mode will make it filthy. Mode 2 is clean boost mode. This eliminates the soft clipping diodes altogether and leaves you with straight opamp drive. This is perfect for pushing your clean tone out in front or driving The preamp of an already overdriven amp into tasteful breakup territory. Mode 3 is an asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement similar to the stock Screamer but with more output and clean clarity; The tone some people describe as “transparent”. it’s almost as if your clean tone is blended in with a slightly less clean tone, ya know? Using this mode gives a warmer low-end response and lower output. It’s less hard on your amp and your ears. It’s a classic pleasant tone The whole band can enjoy. Not enough for you? The Earthquaker Plumes is not your granddad's overdrive. Although it has screamer influences and a similar topology, the Plumes expands on both frequency response and gain by swapping out the sacred components for more interesting variety, and the result is a breath of fresh air in the overdrive world

 I’m super pleased with my purchase. This overdrive just might be the last overdrive you will need, no hype about it, real talk here. It’s that good.

This pedal “Plumes” Is excellent and high-quality, as soon as I received it I plugged it in I own several overdrive pedals, this one is the best out of all except my Mesa flux five which cost 3 times the amount of the Plumes. It spanks my Ibanez TS9 or the Joyo UD. I’m super pleased with my purchase. This overdrive just might be the last overdrive you will need, no hype about it, real talk here

Excellent Overdrive pedal without question.

 This is kind of the heavier mode, or what I like to use is the heavier mode on these plumes, and I've adjusted the gain a little bit. It's up to about more like 1 o'clock, and the level's also a little bit higher, more like 10 o'clock. So what I like about this is even though the gain is much higher in this mode, I'm still maintaining the tonal integrity and the harmonic integrity of what I'm playing, which I really like, but also getting this great analog, overdriven sound that's really natural and feels like it's coming from a tube amp instead of coming from a pedal. So I'll play a little bit for you that way
