AOC CQ27G2U vs Dell S2721DGF

There really isn't anything bad about this monitor that can't be fixed in settings. One thing though is 24 inches is pretty big and the stand is very long, so make sure you have a big desk, or mount it. I have a small desk but was still able to fit 2 monitors and a mic stand by turning the stand at an almost 90 degree angle, then turning the monitor forward. The only bad thing about this monitor is since its 1080p, games don't look as crisp as a smaller monitor

At least it would if 3 of the corners on my monitor didn't glow like a christmas tree - seriously, it's like someone shining a flashlight through your curtains. - "120% sRGB": To be frank, this is typically marketing lingo for "scam" (Sorry, Frank), and that doesn't just pertain to this monitor or AOC. This monitor does have decent colour portrayal from what I was table to test with hardware, but it was not 100% accurate as the "120% sRGB" would lead one to believe, and blues were lacklustre. Not much more I can say on that, I'm colour blind to blue so it doesn't matter to me, but the hardware I borrowed from a friend said blues were lacking

I spent a lot of time, in fact. For the first time ever (literally), I bought a color calibration tool and used it with a professional providing guidance to ensure I correctly followed each step. Not even the color calibrator is able to make Dell 27" Gaming Monitor S2721DGF color-accurate! Not for work, not for gaming, not for casual activities. There is no height, no angle, no setting that resolves my issue

RE: AOC C27G2Z This is the best gaming monitor for 240Hz FHD period. I read a lot of reviews about QHD, 2K and 4K but I’m not talking about casual gaming, I’m talking about competitive gaming where FHD is king. This monitor has it all a great picture, incredible speed and .05ms MPRT which is most important

Personally, I'd prefer the fast response times over deep blacks, but those that game mostly in the dark might be put off by the contrast and also IPS ...

Also, monitor preference is very subjective. While some people may prefer the faster technology of IPS (which can mean less ghosting), many others (myself included) care more about the superb contrast ratios provided by VA. For one, I have yet to encounter ghosting issues on my display. But also, this VA literally has a 4X better contrast ratio than the average IPS
