If you’re looking for something easier to setup out of the box and maintain with more simple controls, I would recommend either a Ubiquiti AmpliFi Alien, Netgear Orbi, or Eero Pro mesh system. They should all be very easy to setup, maintain, and most importantly, expand by adding additional mesh nodes as needed. Ubiquiti is the closest I’ve found to Apple (it was founded by an ex Apple employee) in terms of quality of hardware and user experience; however, the customer support is nothing like Apple’s, and they are semi-notorious for rolling out buggy software on occasion, so it’s generally recommended to hold off on performing software updates until you’ve been able to vet them through others’ experiences online. This thing has ran like a top. My iPhone which I'd have to switch WIFI on/off several times per day because it would hang has been rock solid. Even my Ring cameras which would never work consistently with my past three setups (Nighthawk Router, Orbi Mesh and AX11000) work fine with the Amplifi Alien. Single strength around my property is quite good as well

Don't spend money unless you want this for long haul, highly doubt that the prices will come down significantly. ASUS RT-AX3000 is also a good AX class router.

Has been running for nearly a month at time of this writing. Signal strength and speed seems OK so far. No stability/reliability issues so far. User interface a bit clunky but workable

Don't think you are just going to buy one and be ok. You will need mesh for the stability and speed.

Just replaced my netgear r6900p with a wifi 6 asus AX3000. Flashed with merlin and happy. No crashes yet, nice and stable.
