For those on a budget, the Amazon 4K43M600A is a good choice as the best 43-inch TV at a low cost. It's a rather basic TV that doesn't have the bells and whistles of some higher-end models like the Samsung Q60/Q60B QLED, but it's good for what it is as an entry-level 4k TV. It comes with the Fire TV smart platform, which is easy to use and makes navigating through the menus feel smooth. There are tons of apps to download, and the built-in mic on the remote gives you access to Alexa voice assistant, making it easy to open apps and search for content.

Although its overall picture quality isn't the best, it still performs well in dark rooms as it displays deep blacks, and it has decent reflection handling and peak brightness if you want to use it in a bright room. There are a few drawbacks you have to expect from a budget-friendly model, as it doesn't upscale 480p and 720p content as well as other TVs, which isn't ideal if you watch DVDs or cable TV. If that's important to you, the Samsung AU8000 is a good alternative, but it doesn't get as bright.

 All they do is point you back to the same support website for pairing devices to the TV that you've already tried...then blame Cox when they can't get rid of you, because you're mad at spending all this money on a TV where Alexa only half-works

Something like the TCL 85S455 is a decent overall TV that doesn't cost much and has a good smart platform. The Roku interface is user-friendly and easy to learn if you haven't used a Roku product yet. Its remote doesn't have a mic you can use for voice control, but you can download the Roku app on your phone if you want to take advantage of the voice assistant features.

In terms of picture quality, it has a fantastic native contrast ratio for deep blacks in dark rooms. Its black uniformity is also remarkable, but as expected for a budget-friendly TV, it doesn't have a local dimming feature to improve it. It doesn't get bright enough to fight a ton of glare, but it has decent reflection handling if you have a few lamps in the room.

 Its basically like having basic cable without a monthly fee. The tv will pay for itself in 12 months. About the sound, it is high end sound. You can use headphones and a sound bar but the sound is really good and immersive

 The sound quality is poor. You’d have to buy a sound bar to get greeter volume. Also commercials are so much louder than the program I’m watching. I also set up payments and they tried to take the payment 5 days earlier then they were supposed too!, and then the payment was unsuccessful because I didn’t have enough money in my acct to pay it

Review of tv

 A few times it wouldn’t turn on at all. I realized at that point that if the Roku function broke on this, that it would be totally worthless and I would be unable to turn it on to use. The remote control is the same type as you get for a freestanding Roku device that you hook up separately to a smart TV. It just does not work very well, and I have a feeling the TV is going to have a relatively short life before it just won’t work

Good value but…

 I had a ROKU device attached to the LG so the choice of a ROKU TV was a given. I do like the O.S. and user interface

 I set that to theater and a clear more dynamic sound arrived. I don’t know why TCL would set a default to a sub optional setting, but they did. Of course the product literature was of limited value, just had to experiment. I like it so far!

 There is a button on the front bottom that allows control of the device if you lose the remote. I bought a spare non OEM remote for $5.00, I would recommend it. The remote combined with the ROKU interface has a lot of options in spite of the remote only having a few buttons

S. and user interface. Pretty plain, but that’s the nature of all flat screens. It’s simple plain plastic frame with nothing taking up screen real estate
