Altra Torin 5 vs Altra Provision 6

I purchased these for running and have put about 20-30 miles on them. They're comfortable under and around the foot. Good support, nice wide toe box. Good laces and upper

I would check out Altra Provision or Torin. Altra makes running shoes that are natural foot shaped, light and super comfy and all zero drop.

That said, this shoe is light, and exactly the fit I have come to expect from an Altra shoe. If you love Altras, you will have a hard time finding fault in the weight and fit of this shoe. I just wish that made the tongue more of a mesh material.

Enough cushioning for my Morton's neuroma. Fit great- but run small. I went half size up in Lone Peaks and they were sloppy, but these are perfect in a half size up. Cons: 1

I love the wide toe box on these and they are comfortable, but they are falling apart. The upper is separating from the sole in 3 places (2 places on 1 shoe and 1 on the other), the mesh is significantly fraying on both shoes, and there are parts of the sole that are coming apart in the front and back of both shoes. To look at these shoes you would think I’ve worn them 12 hours a day on tough trails for over a year. I would not purchase these shoes again

Altras’ are a real crap-shoot regarding quality (soles delaminating) or fit. Their older models were better quality and fit (wide toe-box) and after ordering 7 various models, returning 6, I think it’s time I find a different company.

Saucony's Triumph 19 is great, too, though still 8mm drop and a bit heavier. If you're comfortable with zero drop, Altra's Torin 5 is a great cushion-to-weight ratio long run cruiser, but make sure you size up as they run a bit short.

TL;DR - Having put 400-500 miles into Torin 5's, these Provisions felt MUCH narrower in the toe box, and I'm returning them.

I have two pairs of trail running shoes a pair of hiking boots and then these. They are extremely light and comfortable. If you are looking for a pair of zero drop running shoes with a wide tow box, these should be your go-to. They probably wont last as long as some other brands just due to the materials, but they are the perfect value at price vs quality

They are light weight and as someone that tends to slide on running shoes the back of the shoes really last without ruining the foam. They are easy to put on and the back tab is designed well. I wish they had more colors of this shoe.
