~ Rossmann Isana MED Akut pflege serum, great as a serum actually, as a supplement under other moisturisers in the thick of winter. ~ P20 Kids SPF50, doesn’t sting my eyes and great in summer as a hardcore sunscreen. ~A313 pommade, great for sensitive skin, I use it every 5-7 days and it smooths out my skin, and that instant gratification is why I use it religiously lol.

Dry skin isn’t as much talked of in skincare subs I feel, and when it happens, it’s been a while, so that’s why I want to have this one.

Dry skin recommendations

 I just don't have much confidence that the vitamin A ingredients in that product are going to do anything for your skin over just using a plain moisturizer alone, but it's pretty affordable, so it's like whatever. If you're using it, I get it, it's compelling to want to use a vitamin A compound, but I make this video to point out that the evidence is not quite there for those retinol esters over some of the other vitamin A compounds out there. For me personally, I tell people here in the States, just go with the Dapolin. It's pretty cheap, 14 bucks, most biologically active, and has a lot of evidence for improving wrinkles and fine lines, but if you find a Dapolin too irritating, well, you've got retinaldehyde, good evidence for that, although, honestly, retinaldehyde can be pretty expensive in the cosmeceutical products, so I'll also guide them towards retinols and be like, look, they're not as robust

 You may have to use them for a longer period of time to see results, but they can be effective for sure. Just to summarize, the A313 pomade, the vitamin A ingredients in the A313 pomade would have to be first hydrolyzed to the active ingredient in this product, which then has to be oxidized to the active ingredient in this product, which then has to be oxidized to do what the active ingredient in these products do. Let me hold them up so you can actually see. The Dapolin in La Roche-Posay and Differin, as well as what the

 At the end of the day, the A313 pomade, if we just look at it overall, it's pretty inexpensive. So yeah, that's hopefully helpful to you guys in navigating the bazillion dollar industry of retinol serums because there are thousands of retinol creams and products out there. So that little ladder helps you in kind of navigating them

 The next product that we stock is called A313 and A313 is a vitamin A product or retinol. The type of retinol used in A313 is retinol palmitate and it's probably one of the most raved about effective retinol products there is which might surprise you because it's the concentration of retinol in this tube is only 0.12%. So it's not as high as you typically expect but don't be fooled because it is just as powerful

Anura Talks Retinol - A313 (The French Pharmacy)

 It's the A313 Cream that has been getting a little bit of hype here in the mature beauty community after Beauty by Anne-Marie talked about it on her channel. And this is a French pharmacy, they call it a French pharmacy secret, like one of the best things they can get in a French pharmacy. I got mine off of the Avibon website and I think you can still get it in the 20, less than $30 range or slightly over $30 on the Avibon website. Now, I had first heard about this cream on the Goop website or the Goop Beauty blog, that's Gwyneth Paltrow's blog, and they talk about it on there pretty often

 But I have to say, I really like this product. I do, if it does what it says it does, if it's gonna work like Retin-A does and help fine lines and wrinkles and keep all that at bay, then I will make a switch over to this because I really like the base that it's in. I like how emollient it feels on my skin. It doesn't plug up my pores and I do have like an oily skin type that can tend to break out, but it hasn't made me break out

 So anyway, what I've learned about A313 is that has three types of retinol in it, retinol acetate, retinol palmitate, and retinol propanate. And those are three of the mildest forms of retinol esters that can be converted to retinoic acid and then be utilized in our skin. So the way the conversion process looks is you have the retinol esters, the three of them that are in here, and they get converted to retinol, which then gets converted to retinoldehyde, which then gets converted to retinoic acid, and then it can be used in our skin. On the directions, it says it takes about 15 to 30 minutes for that conversion process to occur

 And I think my skin, like right now, it's been a week since I've used it. I don't have any peeling on my skin. I'm at the end of the day. I've had my makeup on for like 12 hours

(2) One Thing Artemisia Capillaris Extract: Game changer! I really do think this one is better than the Missha one because (a) the price point is brilliant, (b) this has a cooling sensation and it actually feels quite hydrating! I live in South East Asia, where the climate is hot and super humid like 95% of the time. My skin-type would probably be oily-to-combination, most oily in the t-zone and slightly acne-prone.

 I used it as a toner just FYI, because I wasn't using toners when I purchased this essence. I also don't have any redness in general, so maybe that's why there wasn't much of an effect. It's also not exactly hydrating with one layer alone. But you can layer this for better hydration

 * I later read in comments here and on the brand website that most people use 1-3 drops. 1-3 drops. Remember this. At first, everything seemed great! The product went on smoothly, dried quickly, no stinging or redness, and immediately I noticed that my face seemed less oily

 Purge. Friends, don't be like me. Do NOT slather on 2-3 full squirts of this product 3x in 24 hours the first time you use this. 2-3 drops, not dropperfuls, is enough and start slow! Build up to twice daily applications over a few days or a week

 as I write this, so I'm a little more than 48 hours into the journey to amazing skin. Nowhere did I see directions re: the amount of product* to apply, so I (naively?) slathered on 2-3 dropperfuls on my clean face, neck, and décolletage Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening ..

Beware the Purge

Not sure if this is important, but I always hand-pluck every single peach fuzz/tiny black hair from my upper lip and the sides/top of my nose (not nostrils), because they bother me. I don’t shave/dermaplane but I use sometimes use a string epilator. Ofc I wash tweezers/epilator before use. 

How do you clear up your nose 👃🏼 and the corners/edges of your nose? The edges/sides of my nose that meets the rest of my face is always red, maybe kind of inflamed. I have dehydrated, dry skin. 

Please lmk what works for you (even the grits method - if it works consistently for anyone I will start doing it every day or however often you recommend). I just want to be blackhead/redness free and I will try **anything**.
