So my last 'proper' underwired bra (which naturally hasn't been worn in months because I've been living in PJ's) was a 32FF but having also put on a bit of weight recently I know it was too small and has been for a while. I'm currently trying to buy a strapless bra for trying on wedding dresses etc so ordered a couple of the Wonderbra ultimate (the one with the hands bit) having had success with them before years ago but let's just say it was a disaster I tried both the 34F and 34FF and both were too small and also just cut in at the wrong spot.

I used to wear the Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless or Amazon equivalent Delimira as a daily bra it was so comfortable, but I did have to size up the band and cup for comfort. I could DANCE aggressively in it. It takes a little getting used to how it sits, lower on the ribs, but it was heavenly for me.

If you want something with a pushup, this is not for you. I was thinking with a name like wonderbra, it would have some great lift. There is barely any pushup padding. The up side is that it does stay up and I didn't have to tug at it. I guess it depends what you are looking for.

Gossard also had some high-apex plunges with minimal gores, but I'm not sure they're still making them. Finally, the off-the-wall suggestion: The Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless has no gore at all, just a stiff plastic frame within the band. Delmira (Amazon exclusive, I think) makes a good knockoff too.

There are some caveats. I'm normally a 34G or a 36FF. Went with the 34G because I knew the band would need to be snug. Honestly the wonderbra ultimate strapless is a pretty good one, and when you’re wearing the right size it’s v secure, just depends on your shape as to whether it works for you and gives you the shape/look you’re looking for. The other thing is that (as with a lot of strapless bras) it comes up quite high at the outside sides of the cups so it may potentially show slightly if you’re wearing a cami-style dress like this.

I haven't worn this out and about yet, so I can't yet attest to its...durability, let's say. However, first impressions: it fits a bit big in the band.
