I know the A139 has a 3rd channel, but what drew me was the rear camera cable connector seems like it'll make install much easier. I'm not concerned w/ parking as I just don't want to put the strain on the battery (and have no desire to increase costs/complexity with an external battery).

Viofo 3 ch dash cam disappointing

Disappointed in this camera. It records fine, but accessing the footage remotely is terrible. You must connect to the failure of an app while sitting in the vehicle; app is absolutely atrocious; just read the reviews. as they aren’t lying. Need help with buying a dashcam

I have a Viofo A139, which is similar in style to the Blackvue. I like that the Vantrue has integrated screen, but I wanted something with less of a profile and not hanging from my windshield. Not displeased with the Viofo, however I still can’t figure out how to get parking mode to actually record anything. The Blackvue has good reviews so it was a consideration for me as well.

This camera works definitely but the ease of accessing the cameras while driving is a haste. You can’t view your footage unless your in the car and connect to the camareras wifi and then you can finally see them. Then you have to turn airplane on and off for it to work properly it’s just a hassle. N...

Affordable camera to protect my car while parked

Viofo A139 ($275) and Zenfox T3 ($250 but they usually run 20% off) are ones I heard of for 3 channel; no buffered but have other parking modes. For 2 channel you can decide if you want front/rear or front/interior. Parking mode with these will get you a limited amount of hours so it doesn’t kill your battery, If you need it to last like a day or so parked then that will change things.

Was working great. Now, Camrea seems to be on 3 lights solid, but frozen. No recording, buttons won't work, unplug and wait for power to drain, plug back in everything works but won't record. Vantrue N4 vs BlackVue DR750X Plus and/or a 3 channel dash cam recommendation for a RAV4 Prime

If parking mode is important, I would go with Viofo A139. I'm not quite sure how parking mode works in Vantrue cameras, but I think it's event detection without buffer, meaning it would record after it was "hit", but doesn't record anything before the accident.

Will not stay glued to windshield

I love the quality of video. It works well. But the sticker holding it to the windshield are extremely poor. Any time it is over 70 degrees in the sun it falls off. And replacement stickers are over priced. I bought some Gorlla glue mounting tape and will try that

Dash Cam facing driver

However your mother will probably do better with Viofo A139 which has a cabin camera but that's expensive and you already like your camera. A cheaper but not free option is to go with one Viofo A119 (since we trust them) and mount it on the back of the rear view mirror looking towards the driver.
