Viofo A129 Duo vs Viofo A139

I got the Viofo A129 because it does well in the heat. Make sure your memory card is rated for hot climates, too.

The images and viewing of the videos are very clear and you can zoom in on the videos themselves for a clearer look. In fact, this has to be the best feature this camera system has that I have seen out of many other cameras besides also being able to access the camera files via the systems wifi system once you turn it on and be able to view/download the files directly. No recording, buttons won't work, unplug and wait for power to drain, plug back in everything works but won't record. "No storage device". Take out sd card out, put back in, power on format card, hit record, still "no storage device".

I'm really hoping Viofo listens to customers input and with a few well thought out firmware and software changes this Viofo dashcam could be even better! I will update this review once the CPL filter and the three wire hardware kit is available and I'm able to use it with the parking mode. As is usual with reviews don't take my word for it. Check for yourself, compare my comments to others, read about it on other forums and then make your own decision that you have verified will work for you! All in all from what I have seen so far (pending on how the things mentioned above perform) I would buy it again.

NOTE: Change the power adapter. It's recommended that you use the one in the box. The prior one might have a lower power output, and this might compromise device functionality. Rear camera installation: I strongly recommend you install the front camera first and then attach the rear camera, use your Phone to check the back camera framing (that's why it's important to setup the camera and app at home first before installing in your car, you'll be able to learn all of this), and attach the thick cable in both cameras and power everything so you can check angles first

I just got this product today and the installation was easy, but it was a lengthy process with finding the right placement with working the wires. I will update this when I have had it for a longer period of time. So, far my only complaints are that you need to have the camera wifi on in order to access the videos and the other is I don't know how to delete the locked videos, I locked 3 while I was setting up the camera Bluetooth button( that was sold separately) other than that so far so good. This unit has the option of an external microphone as well. I don't utilize this feature but it could be useful in the right situation. They have another option of the Bluetooth button that you can mount anywhere in your vehicle and when pressed it will start recording and create a protected event. I wish it came with this standard as I really see this as a positive for certain situations as well
