This is a solid built monitor with minimal back light bleed. The included cables are decent quality. The build in stand is great and the cover is good too.  I wanted to love this monitor and be done with my search for "the one" however this one falls short on one important feature: color accuracy

 As I work in live events and often use portable monitors in a broadcast capacity, color accuracy is very important.  Unfortunately, this monitor will likely be going back to Amazon now and the search will be on for a portable monitor with accurate color handling.

 The build in stand is great and the cover is good too.  I wanted to love this monitor and be done with my search for "the one" however this one falls short on one important feature: color accuracy. The colors on the 17" model are very dull. I have gone through every setting on this monitor and still, unable to produce proper color temperatures

Well built, minimal backlight bleed, great built in stand, but dull colors.

 ViewSonic uses a sturdy metal pop-out stand with a stiff hinge that allows you to find the perfect angle to suit your viewing preference. Despite the mismatched materials, the stands in a great triangular pattern and color match the rest of the plastic back housing, which is a nice touch. At the bottom of the monitor, you will find two 0.8-watt speakers that aren't anything to write home about regarding volume or sound quality at about mid-volume

 The VEX1755 employs a high-quality plastic build with a black front and silver back. Thin bezels surround the IPS panel on three sides, while a much larger bezel below the display highlights centrally positioned ViewSonic branding, like the T-Dunn 1655. ViewSonic uses a sturdy metal pop-out stand with a stiff hinge that allows you to find the perfect angle to suit your viewing preference.  Unlike the T10655, the VEX1755 lags behind on color measurements compared to its peers like the Asus ROG XG17 op and even the more productivity-centric ThinkVision M40. We measured 64.2% of the sRGB color space and just 45.5% of DCI-P3

 So what that means is we've had actually two portable monitors previously, small devices that you can carry with you and use as a companion to your laptop. This is the first one ever that's had a high refresh rate, AMD FreeSync, and an IPS panel that's actually fast enough for gaming. So this is pretty cool. It's unique to the market

 So whatever angle you want it at, it sits with basically the chin down on the surface and then you angle it from there. So that's actually far easier to use with a portable device like a laptop than a normal monitor that would hold them the panel much higher up. The other thing that it does allow for is if you want to use it in kind of a laid-back portrait mode, you can do that as well. So the stand is a little bit more versatile than what you've seen on some other portable devices

 Bright crisp display and colors are very good and accurate which was important to me. Night and day difference compared to this one.  Innocn also has an OLED that is absolutely beautiful display and premium look and and feel, but only available in 15.6in and 60hz

Do not recommend if you care at all about color quality/brightness...

ViewSonic VX1755 17 Inch 1080p Portable IPS Gaming Monitor with 144Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium

a great little portable gaming monitor.

 But especially important is that it has a 144 hertz update or refresh rate. Which means it can also be used as a gaming display. I'll show you in a second what it means to have a faster refresh, but basically, motion looks better. It's also an IPS display

 So, this also works with something called AMC FreeSync Premium, which is really cool. It's a VISA adaptive sync system, which means that it can synchronize refresh rate with your PC screen, so that when you're gaming, there's no weird jags or image distortion and stuff. There's no flickering. I am using their USB-C to USB-C cable, and it's kind of interesting because one side is a 90-degree connection, the other one is a straight-up connection

 You know, I spend every day... So, what's worth noticing here is that these are the output speakers, and they're a little small
