 But with it on the stand and with that telescoping mount, you can get it at a much more convenient angle for your eyes. So for me personally, a lot of my use case with this monitor is going to be video editing because I can have another great display that doesn't need power right next to my display on my older MacBook Pro. Being able to raise up the display and kind of position it right above the normal screen on my MacBook is great for video editing. It makes everything a lot more convenient

 If 2020 has taught me anything, it's that the world needs 240 hertz gaming monitors, no matter where you might be, at home, at the office, at the home office. This is a portable monitor from Asus called the RG Strix XG17. The cool thing about it though, is that it is an IPS monitor that has a refresh rate of 240 hertz. So it's an awesome gaming monitor that also is gonna have nice colors and good viewing angles

 + The industrial design looks great, it's super thin, light, and portable  Cons - Brightness: this display is really dim, and looks especially dim when used alongside a modern display that supports higher brightness. - Color accuracy: out of the box I couldn't get the colors to look remotely close to my other (calibrated and accurate) display. TBD if calibration could lead to good results, but out of the box, colors look washed out (using the included sRGB mode). - Mounting option: the included "smart cover" sucks

 It's functional but doesn't feel sturdy or reliable. The threaded attachment on the back is plastic and very shallow, and when mounting to a tripod or other mount attachments it feels very shaky and unreliable - not great for such an expensive display. - Resolution: It's absolutely insane that anyone is charging around $500 for a 1080p display, even if it does support 240Hz. - Input options: in order to use the highest refresh rate and FreeSync/G-Sync features you need to attach via the USB-C input rather than the micro HDMI input

I ended up returning this display and bought a generic portable display from a Chinese OEM for half the price, and it supports 4K resolution, (though only 60Hz refresh rate), more connectivity options, VESA mounting support, and much better brightness and color accuracy

Can't use DP with consoles. I've tried everything. Micro HDMI is fragile and unreliable

 It's a great resolution myself. I like 2K and 4K when everything is perfect for it. But aside from the 1080p, I think the price is a bit high for what it is, a 17.3 inch, but it's a 17
