I would have given these a 5 but on the 1st use when I pulled up on the binding loosening strap it came apart. Easy fix with epoxy and a couple zIp ties but for the price of these shoes that shouldn’t happen. Otherwise these are great snowshoes that I have really enjoyed on trail, climbing and off trail.

Great snowshoes except.....

 I found the whole experience was very comfortable and I didn't get that awkward penguin feeling or as if I was wearing heavy tennis racquets on my feet that you get with some of the old school snowshoe designs. I cannot imagine facing steep backcountry hill climbs without the 19 degree active heel lift feature. It keeps the foot flat as if you're climbing a set of stairs and is absolutely essential for reducing calf fatigue and Achilles tendon strain when climbing. Just check out that same hill climb again with just regular snow boots on

 I was impressed with just how well the bindings did keep my boot aligned. My snow boots are actually slightly oversized and the only heel slip I noticed was inside the boot. In order to maximize your experience, choose comfortably fitting footwear for your trip. The ActiveFit bindings are very well designed for easy entry and release

 Its continuous frame bend with longer, lower rise gives improved ergonomics and flotation. Only had to use them once so far and not in very deep snow. Only thing I can give a confident review of for these at this time is that they are not lacking in traction at all. Also are pretty easy in and out of the bindings. Only time will tell how long they hold up but my old Tubbs Flex Alps lasted 7 winters of some tough terrain

While this is only the third pair of snowshoes I have worn, it will probably be the last! This has very aggressive "tread" on the bottom, giving me assurance on any type of terrain. I also love the toe box strapping mechanism - so easy and secure. They are light weight and the pivot points make me feel like I'm just walking normally. What's not to like?!

My husband had a pair of these snowshoes stolen recently. I immediately went to amazon to find a new pair for him because he loves these shoes. They are perfect for our type of snowshoeing, which is back country, in deep snow. These are a tad newer version then the ones he had so the bindings are a little different, but he'll get that figured out

Fast, efficient service and shipping

Received 2 days early! It only took 48 hours or less, but I was told would arrive in 4-5 days! Extremely happy with delivery and product. My snowboard boots (size 11) fit perfectly with room to spare; I would say up to size 14 snowboard boots may fit.

Solid floaters

Great snowshoes, I'd however suggest buying one size larger than recommendations if you're in deep fluffy snow. Great traction on steep inclines, the spikes really grab well. Love the bindings!!!! 👍👍👍👍

The Tubbs Mountaineers are a fantastic snowshoe! Super lightweight, tough. The bindings are super simple, and they never come undone.
