TCL 6 Series/R625 2019

Cheap and bright would be the r635 or an r625/r617 if you can still find them and want to save some money

R625: 6.6. TCL is a good budget TV but it suffers from several weaknesses such as poor local dimming, poor gray uniformity, poor viewing angles, poor reflection handling, terrible out of the box color accuracy, visible banding in most colors, and poor response time on the R625.

Update: During random operation, videos will stop playing or the screen will stay black but audio will continue to play. Can't discern if it the apps for HBO and Hulu or not. PC gamer here and I had the R646 for a day and immediately returned back to bestbuy and got the LG C1 and mindblown! I have a 2019 TCL R625 and love it and got the R646 just for the 120hz panel and TCL fan. Connecting my pc using a 3080ti the 120hz on the R646 was horrible and needs to be fixed/updated. The screen studders and looks more like 30hz/fps.

Great picture quality I may have great sound so far TV is working great with very minor issues sometimes I had to restart the TV

Bought Tcl R625 March 2020. No issues at all *knock on wood* great picture and all the smart TV options with roku. Sure there are better tv out there like an oled but the 6 series is chock full of value

I’ve been happy with my R625 from 2019. The R635 is certainly better in some regards but, as a former Plasma owner, the contrast/black levels are so impressive to me.

The media could not be loaded. Originally i loved this tv but after only a couple of days, i had some major problems with it. There is a flickering line at the bottom of the tv and occasionally and for no reason the screen goes blank to a white screen. I can still hear the audio but no definable pic...
