Spyderco Shaman

Two serious hard use options, Spyderco Shaman, and Benchmade Adamas. The Adamas you are more likely to find at your price point, but if you are patient on /r/knife_swap you will find a Shaman at $200. You will never regret either of those choices.

Mine was a zero tolerance 0350 with the fancy tiger stripes. Then, the first knife I really wanted and had to search for was a Spyderco Shaman M4/ DLC with jade scales.

Great knife but the compression lock on it is too small to operate. You'd think, Spyderco, would consider a hefty knife to have a bit more operating room when using the compression. If they ever make it right, I'd buy this (serrated) knife again.

ZT 0562 is very ergonomic for me. It fills the hand better than the Shaman for me, but I like to choke way up on the blade so I usually carry the shaman over the 0562

This knife is the right size. Not too big not too small. The serrated edge is wickedly sharp. I haven’t had to sharpen it yet but I have a few other serrated knives that I sharpen no problem so should be fine. The lock is also very sturdy so I have complete confidence it won’t fail. I suggest going with a Spyderco Shaman, especially if you can find a good spring run on r/knife_swap. It's sort of a hybrid between a Native 5 and a PM2 and I think it should be the successor to the PM2 because it's an improvement in virtually every way (ergonomics, blade shape, looks, ergonomics).
