Recommend Me A Biggin’
When I had it, I really enjoyed my Spyderco police 4 lightweight. Around 120 for the vg10 and 140-150 for the K390. It was very easy to carry and didn’t feel like a stick (size) or brick (weight) in the pocket. It was relatively slim and the FRN handles allowed for excellent purchase in multiple grips.
You don't realize how big it is until you hold it.
I am a pretty big Spydero fan. I ordered the latest version of the Police model knowing the dimensions but it didn't hit just how big it is until I held it. Still extremily light weight, rides in a jean pocket. Being used to Spydero's I had no problem flipping this bad boy open with that stratifying...
Spyderco Police 4 Lightweight FRN Back Lock Overview
It carries fairly well thanks to the relatively compact footprint. Despite being a large knife, the knife carries via the hourglass pocket clip which provides secure, carry in all four positions and gives a variety of options for both left and right-handed users. The knife deploys fast and smooth on the stainless steel liners and offers a large, yet lightweight and relatively compact every day carry folder for general users as well as law enforcement and military personnel
It's big and crazy sharp!!
I had a fully serrated version of this knife about 8 years ago. Don't remember the exact name but it was the full stainless handle police model. That knife was great in VG10. This one is so much better. It's bigger and the grip on this one is really grippy. I really enjoy the lock on the back too in...
Big, capable tool at a good price
What this knife lacks in frills, it delivers with solid, reliable performance. The blade style is somewhere between a sheepsfoot and a wharncliffe, providing great cutting performance. The slight downcurve at the tip gives an adequate piercing ability while still allowing the blade tip of the knife ...
Very nice for self defense.
This blade is good for self-defense at 4" it matches the maximum length allowed in my State. The lack of thumb studs makes the entire blade available for a deep pierce. Very lightweight and the frn handle material is very durable and price competitive. This blade and all Spyderco's are pretty pricey...
Just a little bit to large to carry for EDC.
Light weight, fits in my XXL hands, opens one handed and looks bad a$$. Because of the size the knife is large in the pocket. But this knife is a field/work knife, made for police/military use, not EDC. Great for working the farm, hiking the woods and car camping. The lock back is very good at locki...
