* And finally as a "good example of amazing" I was provided with YouTube vids for the Specialized Turbo Creo SL, Which...yeah, that bike is super neat, I liked the sounds of everything they talked about but #$%&\^! That is a price point that I cannot consider.

I personally have the Specialized Levo SL and i love it. Vado SL has the same mentality in the way the motor acts under you, it makes you make work and pushes it about +200% so basically its such a electric bike that will still keep you fit, compared to most electric bikes that does all the work for you.

If you’re looking for a mountain bike. The Specialized Levo turbo is bad ass. I have had mine for about 3 months and absolutely love it. $5,500

I have a Specialized Turbo Levo. Can't praise it enough. My friend I ride with has a Luna X1 that is definitely more powerful, but simply doesn't feel as much like a MTB and he can't keep up on technical trail riding where power doesn't matter as much. And I feel much more confident of specialized taking care of any issues that might arise as opposed to Luna..

The motor’s ability to immediately engage is far more important than a casual cruiser may need. So for some, this bike is plenty powerful and just the little bit a “true” mountain biker wants. For others, it’s not a dirt bike that’ll do everything for them so it’s garbage to them.

Overall, my new bike isn’t as sharp as my old hardtail. The suspension takes the edge off… That’s its job lol. You feel though. If you’re new to mountain biking, you won’t notice these trade offs at all.

I want to use the bike to explore SF and Marin without feeling hindered while getting my exercise in. The gazelle seems like a high quality bike with the Bosch motor and high torque. And I like the idea of having the option to add another battery later if I wanted.

I would suggest the base model Specialized Turbo Levo. The Gen 3 base model came out literally yesterday, so you could go to your local bike shop, and they can put an order in for you if you go that route. My reasons for wanting an embt are very similar to yours, and after getting a levo I feel like it does fill that gap of riding atv's but with more accessable trails and more fun in some ways.
