Sony X950G

So that's it, what do you think of Sony's first 2019 TV?

So my Sony x950g suddenly lost picture while I was watching. I tried resetting it and also unplugged it but that didn't work. The tv turns on and you can see somewhat the backlight is on but there is no picture and you can hear the UI sound when scrolling. So I unplugged it the whole day yesterday so that I can bring it to the service center today.

Let's be clear here, we are reviewing a TV that costs well over $1,000. Yet so many people are not holding it to that standard. Wait until Black Friday. The 900H was 200€ over my Budget so I got a x950G and I'm really happy with the decision because pq is great, although 120Hz in Cod would have been nice. I use it mostly for Gaming (and the occasional movie night)

I have an X950G, and I watch in a dark room. I have bias lighting and it helps but starting last year I started to budget for an upgrade to some sort of OLED or QD-OLED. I was not aware of the blooming at first, and now it is so noticeable I can understand your frustration. I game a lot and I always have subtitles on but because the entire screen is full and it in game mode I do not see a lot of blooming, but it is very noticeable on the menus and physical disks.

So overall a decent tv, loved the remote and Dolby vision 4K content looks absolutely incredible, but I ended up returning mostly due to blooming. Hi, I own the x950g 65' for the past 2 years. I'm running the latest firmware. In the past month the TV is getting unresponsive/stuck almost every day, usually when trying to play content on Netflix.

The Android TV is very responsive overall but stutters whenever you are watching something then you try to access the picture menu. Bought one to go with my 65” x950g but it was mostly due to constant audio dropout issues on several of the TV apps over eArc. Picture quality can’t say I remember seeing any difference.
