I use a sea to summit dry bag for my sleeping bag and with the compression straps it gets pretty small. Fits nicely on the front rack, a Velo Orange porteur or the rear but the rear usually has the tent strapped on top.

These dry bags are well constructed but were difficult to attach to my motorcycle engine/tank guards unless completely full and even then they seemed as if they wouldn’t hold up to flying roadscrabble.
