All these buckles on here they're, not that fast x type of buckle. It is actually a aluminum on here um and the neat thing is: they are removable, so you can pop that off

 So there's no stitching involved. We got two different versions: there's the regular builds bag which is available in two sizes, the 65 liter and the 110 liter, and then the heavy duty version. What'S the big difference? Well, mainly just the reinforced bottom on the hd version, it's giving you an extra layer of vinyl so that wear and tear on the rocks dragging it around that type of thing, uh, just gon na give you a little bit of extra life. So let's have a closer look at some of the features on the back

 You know a few ounces here if you're going rafting canoeing with no porch eyes, just uh etcetera or you just want a double style bag. Those can just clip off of there and you've got more of a duffel bag as opposed to a backpack. The 110 liter versions also come with the the waistline chest. Harness has the adjustable clip to go across the chest, fully adjustable on the suspension side of things so really comfortable to wear

 I think it is worth the money and am pleased with the purchase. Hopefully it will last many years to come.  I will say it took me some practice to learn how to get things in and out of it efficiently. Because it is so large, you almost have to half climb inside the bag to get it packed or unpacked

 Because of this, I would NOT recommend trying to open this bag while you are in a canoe. Try to put only things you will need once you get on land so you can put it on a stable surface and climb inside it to get what you need out or to pack it back up. I used it for my tent, all my sleeping gear, land shoes, and a few other items that I wouldn't need until we got to a place to set up camp each night.

 So you have extra protection on the bottom and around the sides of the back, for you know heavy duty applications, which is nice now the bills bag was designed back in the 70s by bill park, the founder of nrs and since 1977. It has been a really well used piece of gear on the rivers, i've seen lots of mileage, lots of different rivers and probably been across the world, and back one of my favorite pieces about this bag is actually the backpack straps here. These are fully removable. Backpack straps there's a couple clips here at the top a couple clips down here on the bottom and you can take the straps off, throw them in the bag, throw them aside

 There are two that come up and over the top and then two that run along the sides. These buckles are aluminum buckles on cam straps, and they are really easy to use you're simply going to grab the buckle, find a corresponding loop fabric that it feeds into and then tighten the buckle down after you do all four of them you're ready to go like. I said i really like this bag. It'S a great bag, especially for the money, this one retails for about 160 dollars

 You know they're metal, they don't break very easily and just by design there as well, you put a little tension on the cam straps and they don't really come off. I'Ve never had one of these pop off of me. I'Ve actually had this bag full plus capacity on my bike, roaring down the highway at 65 miles an hour and none of the buckles have come off so there's i i really like the buckles for that reason: they're hardy uh. They don't come off

I use a sea to summit dry bag for my sleeping bag and with the compression straps it gets pretty small. Fits nicely on the front rack, a Velo Orange porteur or the rear but the rear usually has the tent strapped on top.

Let's talk sleeping bags! I'm considering upgrading to something ultralight. I'm tired of having half an entire pannier taken up by a bag. What do y'all recommend? Alternatively, does anyone strap their bulky sleeping bag to their rear rack in a dry bag?

Great dry bag -- material is thick and reliable, and it does its job! Only thing we wish was that the bag included a shoulder strap so that the bag is easier to carry while on land and not in a boat (we used it primarily for a 2-day kayaking trip). Other than that, the bag is great, we especially loved how easy it was to roll up and clip.

I bought this bag for use as a bear bag. I wanted something waterproof that could withstand hanging in a tree in bad weather, as well as keep the smells of food inside so as to not attract bears.

I have the 20 L and 35 L bags. I used the 35 L bag on top of my rear bike rack for touring/bikepacking on backroads in Scotland. I used the 35 L bag as it still fit on top of the rack. The 20 L would have held my stuff - barely

 Having the extra space in the 35 L made packing easier though. Any extra space could be cinched down easily. With the Hypalon side loops I could secure the bag really well to the rack. The roll top closure snapped around my seat post for further stability
