I use a sea to summit dry bag for my sleeping bag and with the compression straps it gets pretty small. Fits nicely on the front rack, a Velo Orange porteur or the rear but the rear usually has the tent strapped on top.

Let's talk sleeping bags! I'm considering upgrading to something ultralight. I'm tired of having half an entire pannier taken up by a bag. What do y'all recommend? Alternatively, does anyone strap their bulky sleeping bag to their rear rack in a dry bag?

Great dry bag -- material is thick and reliable, and it does its job! Only thing we wish was that the bag included a shoulder strap so that the bag is easier to carry while on land and not in a boat (we used it primarily for a 2-day kayaking trip). Other than that, the bag is great, we especially loved how easy it was to roll up and clip.

Purchased a few of these for hanging our food and other scented items on bear poles while in the back country. Works great, each backpacker has their own which makes organization a snap. They are not the lightest bag out there but durable and keeps my food and stove safe and dry!! 20 liter is a great size for about 4 days in the woods. Orange is ok color

I bought this bag for use as a bear bag. I wanted something waterproof that could withstand hanging in a tree in bad weather, as well as keep the smells of food inside so as to not attract bears.

I have the 20 L and 35 L bags. I used the 35 L bag on top of my rear bike rack for touring/bikepacking on backroads in Scotland. I used the 35 L bag as it still fit on top of the rack. The 20 L would have held my stuff - barely

 Having the extra space in the 35 L made packing easier though. Any extra space could be cinched down easily. With the Hypalon side loops I could secure the bag really well to the rack. The roll top closure snapped around my seat post for further stability

 When you're cruising around and everything is just vibrating makes for a great environment to ruin stuff. So it's really great if you're me rubbing up against rocks really trashing things. This bag is really durable and it's going to hold up for years down the road. Now they do come in multiple sizes

 Something that they've done here is they've actually put this one-way valve on it. They call it the purge air valve and what that's going to do as you roll this down it's going to actually help expel any air that's trapped inside this bag. A really great feature it's still a waterproof valve so if you're on the water it's splashing in it's not going to fill the bag. Really cool feature

 Also something that they've done on the inside of the bag which I never really thought about this the thought never really crossed my mind but it's actually a pretty cool idea. On the inside you can see that the material color is a nice light color compared to this exterior that's green. What that helps do it helps to keep the inside of the bag just a little bit lighter so you can find whatever contents you have in there that much easier. Again something I never would have really thought about I never thought it would maybe make much of a difference but it does it's a pretty cool feature

The Discovery Deck Dry Bag by SealLine [Review]

 Hi I'm Tyson with Adventure Rig and Cali and I are taking our adventures on the

 water today with the Seal Line Discovery Deck Dry Bags. Now I really was

 introduced into dry bags when I first started kayaking. Previously to that I

 never used them. At this point I don't really know why or how I got along

 without them. After using them on the water I found that they actually come in

 handy for a lot of different adventures that we take. With the Discovery Series

 there's a lot of really cool features that they've built into these. Some of

 them I never would have thought about and they're really handy to have. Others

 are just awesome all around. To start with is the shape. Most dry bags that I

 have are a classic round shape. With this Discovery Series as you can see on the

 bottom it's more of an oval shape. What that's going to help do is if you're

 stacking these on a deck, on a motorcycle, anything where you're laying the bag

 flat it just helps it stay in that flat position and it doesn't want to roll

 around. Even though it is a little bit oval I still have found that setting

 the bag upright it still stands just fine and it doesn't lead to the bag

 tipping over or anything like that. On the exterior here a couple features that

 they've built in. These lash points these are really great if you're going to be

 throwing this maybe on a SUP, in a boat, on a motorcycle. It's really easy to tie

 them down. You don't just have to go around the dry bag and hope that the bag

 stays on. You can actually go through these points that they've built into the

 bag so no matter what if the bag ends up coming off it's still going to stay
