Hey, I'm Lanning and I just got off the new Salomon Stance 84. This thing, narrower than its older siblings, but it rips.

My vote goes to the Salomon Stance 84. All-mountain ski that isn't too crazy wide underfoot. Performs WELL beyond its price point and construction.

If you're rarely or never going off piste and are only on greens/blues neither of those skis are right for you. Get something narrower (85 to 90ish will be fine) and more forgiving. Salomon Stance 84, Rossi Escaper, Atomic Bent 90, Elan Wingman 86, etc. If you're interested in the Kore series get the 87 or 93, but the Kores are very stiff skis that can feel harsh to beginners.

You should at least look at the Stance 84- the 80 are a very entry level system ski that I would never associate with the word "powder'. In Atomic, look at the Maverick 86c as the next step up into a true all mountain. 161 to 163 should be fine.

However, judging by your description and the fact that you don't often venture off trail, I'd suggest something on the mid-80s. The Dynastar M-Pro 85, Salomon Stance 84, K2 Mindbender 85, Nordica Navigator 85, Volkl Kanjo, Atomic Maverick 86C, and Armada Declivity 88C would all be great for you. ("C" stands for carbon, which means those skis are similar to the metal versions with "Ti" titanal in them but much easier to ski and more forgiving).

Demo for sure. There are lots of skis out there to try.

The Blizzard Black Pearl 88s, Salomon Stance 94, Moment Hot Mess, Rossignol Rallybird 92. Any of those would be a good place to start.
