I bought a shag rug that i thought would be soft until i walked on it. There was zero support. I bought this and it seems like good quality. My only thing is that i wish i had gotten a little thicker. Otherwise, i am happy with it. The rug feels good. However, 1/2 inch probably feels much better.

The pad is very thick and softens the rug considerably but makes it a nightmare to trim. Put a new blade in your cutter before starting to trim. The pad adheres quite well to the floor but not as well to the rug. Overall much better than the adhesives or tapes.

I used it under a runner on top of terrazzo tile. Was hoping it was a bit more cushioning but all in all I am pleased.
