 With this mat the rug does not budge! I didn't find it as plush as other reviewers and would love for it to be a bit more so to make the carpet more comfortable but it's not a big deal. Definitely would recommend. Maybe remeasure your rug and take advantage of the fee custom cutting to ensure exact sizing

 That being said, it keeps our rug in place. We have a large rug in our family room and 4 kids are constantly running around the room. With this mat the rug does not budge! Great for no-slip, could be more plush

Product is great, keeps the rug in place and adds the perfect amount of cushion. However, it said 7x10 when I ordered and also on the box when it came in, but when I unrolled it the tube it was wrapped around said 8x10, and when I measured it was 8x13… so I had to cut it to fit. Not the end of the world, just annoying. Other than that I’m happy with the purchase

 The old ones I had were gray rubber...the newer ones are purple rubber and they're supposed to wear better

These are exceptionally good rug pads that I have used for years on my oriental rugs. Unfortunately, I have a brick floor and the rubber bottoms tend to wear out. The old ones I had were gray rubber.

 I can clearly see and feel the creases under the carpet. I would avoid this product as it is quite expensive and you are not getting a premium product.

 This is as expected rubber backing so the carpet doesn't slide and my multi-colored rug won't leave mark on my hardwood floor with radiant heat. I picked the thinnest option for that very reason. Click link in description for more reviews.

 We are in the process of a remodel, and I wanted a thick pad with a rubber backing to put over concrete during what seems like an endless construction period. This is it, and more. We had to trim it a bit, and cutting it was not easy, the felt layer and rubber layer are sturdy, a testiment to how thick and tough this pad is made. If you were to put a rug over this pad, it would last a ridiculous amount of time

The rubber side will keep it from slipping on the floor, and the felt side, slightly textured, will keep a rug from slipping on the pad. When we get to picking final rugs and pads, I would buy this brand again

 I’m happy with the quality of the pad, however the dimensions are off. I purchased the 7’10”x10’ and splurged on 3/8” thickness for comfort. This pad is 7’8.5”-ish, about 1

 My rug is 8x10 and I wanted a perfect fit without any extra effort. The 2’6”x8’ runner rug pad I also purchased was of exact dimensions though. Looking back, I wish I just got the bigger size and cut it (the material doesn’t seem too hard to cut with shears like other felt rug pads I’ve purchased) (Pictures are from my initial review.)

 The backing is VERY non-skid. So, get it where you want it before putting furniture back on it. We had to trim two sides. Used very large sharp scissors following a chalk line we popped
