Moving from one Rowenta to another... it's complicated

 I decided to give it a try but after a couple of weeks, not only did it make the clicking sound in auto-off, the iron remained warm. I'm sending the second on back and will not replace it with another Rowena. It's disappointing because I like the power and build of the iron but I don't trust the devices. But I will provide another warning

The blue color makes it almost impossible to see the water line

 I am much happier with the Pur Steam iron over the Rowenta irons . I think this was my third model of the Rowenta irons. For the cost you can't beat the Pur Steam Professional iron (PSSI-01).

 Rowenta was 1800 watts the Pur Steam was 1700 watts the same steamforce system , the cleaning system as the Rowenta alone with the powerful vertical steam system, and the anti drip system which the Rowenta does not have the weight was about the same best part of the Pur Steam iron was a larger water tank, the steam system went a lot better you could iron many more items without having to stop and add water. It too used just plan tap water just as the Rowenta for less than half the cost it is also consider a professional iron. I am much happier with the Pur Steam iron over the Rowenta irons . I think this was my third model of the Rowenta irons

NOT worth the money!!

Over engineered to the point it fails at horizontal steam ironing.

I need to iron my clothes for work. I wear the thick, khaki, cargo pants they sell at a big retailer and they are difficult to iron. I also wear thin, business blouses with collars and elbow length sleeves that must be ironed. I expected an iron that was at least two to five times better than the $20 Hamilton Beach one that I had

Surprisingly unimpressive and I'm sad.

 Overall it is a great iron. It steams wonderfully. The tip is nice and pointy for getting into creases. It takes the wrinkles out

I have been using a Black & Decker iron for years but never made the break to Rowenta because the Black & Decker never seemed to break down. Rowenta has such rave reviews and since I am someone who still irons clothing, I decided to spend the money. Overall it is a great iron. It steams wonderfully

 But, whoever designed the iron, with all the great attributes should have put a little more thought into design. First off, the water chamber is blue, the same color as the iron, and it is difficult to see the water level. And, keep in mind, I do not have big hands, but my hand keeps bumping the heat control knob and readjusting to other settings. Tonight I was only ironing 4 items and I bumped the button 6 times and had to readjust the temperature
