I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

  I’ve had the iron for less than a year, it’s had issues for months that I just did not want to deal with, and now I see in my warranty that I am responsible for all the costs to ship the iron to CHI and also for the return shipping costs. It might be more cost effective for me to throw this iron in the trash (something CHI is hoping for?).  I fail to understand why manufacturers can’t make a reliable steam iron that costs under $250, haas the attributes seamstresses and quilters want and is user friendly.

 Whatever burned to the sole plate took me at least an hour to clean per CHI’s instructions - slow and tedious. It also does not remove wrinkles from cotton or linen and I cannot get a crisp finish on clothing or in pressing seams.  They were willing to replace my month-old defective iron but only if they could charge my credit card around $12 to ship it to me. This is spelled out the "Care and Use" manual sealed inside the iron box (and also if you happen to be extra smart and download the PDF manual under "technical specifications" in the Product Information of this Amazon listing, it's on page 11, which I didn't.)  The shipping price isn't outlandish for something of that weight, and customer service even offered me a discounted rate of $8, which was very kind. But I agreed to pay Amazon's price

First of all, this iron really is sleek. Out of the box, it heats nicely and puts off a moderate amount of steam when the steam is turned fully up. I don't think it's as powerful as the advertising copy above states (my cheap Black & Decker was more powerful), but it's good enough for most purposes.  The soleplate is shaped really nicely and is large enough for good sized areas but tapers to get those little bits

 But, because CHI is a trusted brand, I was curious to see how this iron would perform. If I can trust CHI with my delicate hair, why not trust them with my clothes too? So, let’s start with the packaging. I love the red foil CHI logo on the box, which gave it a high-end look. I also appreciate that the box has an English description on one side and a Spanish description on the other

 This not only helps the brand stand out from others but makes me feel valued as a Latinx consumer. As for the iron itself, I especially like the look and colors of the iron (grey and red). I really appreciate that this iron does not use stereotypical, feminine colors in its design. In my household, chores are divided by time and necessity, not gender

 I would much rather have this iron in my home than something that implies ironing is a woman’s task. Another great design element is the Velcro strap for keeping the cord neatly stored when not in use. The iron worked well on my clothes. The only real complain I have is that the iron does not have an indicator light to tell you when its ready, just an on/off light

From Locks to Frocks

 No dripping water from the holes, like I had with my previous iron from another manufacturer. Titanium-infused ceramic soleplate is easy to clean. Gunk does not build up on it, like it does on irons that are not ceramic. Automatically turns off if left motionless (60 seconds resting on the soleplate or side, and 30 minutes resting upright on heel)
