 So after comparing different models, different options, features that it came with, this is the one we went with and here's why. Take a look. Now one of the first things that really attracted us to the Roof Nest Condor Excel is the short amount of time that it takes to set up the tent. For us it's just under three minutes to set up the tent to where we can crawl in and get to sleep

 Go up, yep. Okay, that's a good stick, yeah, you're not going to touch it, alright. Let's do this.

 Which means we might have a little bit longer distance to walk from one side to the other and we might have a little bit more climbing to do compared to most vehicles. If your vehicle is smaller your setup time will definitely be shorter but even at just under three minutes to get us to sleep we couldn't be happier. Now our roof rack is a Front Runner Slimline II and the mounting hardware that came with the tent fit perfectly around the front runner slats. The tent also conveniently came with a 17 millimeter ratcheting wrench which made the installation even easier

 Chris here with 4x4 Carpool and I'm about to introduce you to our Roof Nest Condor XL.

 But before I do that I want to go ahead and give you a little back story as to why we

 So quite some time ago we used to have a trailer.

 It was a Fleetwood Evolution E1 and for what it was it was a great trailer.

 But we were on a trip in Bishop and we were on our way up to Coyote Flats and going up

 there there's quite a few switchbacks and with towing a trailer I would consider it

 For the truck itself totally fine but with the trailer it was pretty tough.

 So we were doing a lot of backing up, repositioning the trailer and eventually we broke the trailer

 jack and on the way home from that trip we decided that we needed to get rid of that

 trailer and immediately a roof top tent was on top of the list.

 So around that time that we sold the trailer the Roof Nest Condor line became available

 and immediately it was also on the list of the possibilities of which roof top tent we

 My wife feels it's a little firm so we do carry a sleeping pad for her and she's a happy

 The kids also love the mattress so no complaints there.

 The inside of the tent is even more impressive than the outside.

 The underside of the tent cover has something like a quilted blanket which should provide

 The windows are large and have both a covering and a screen.

 The screen is great for getting an open air feeling without letting the bugs in and the

 cover is perfect for keeping out bad weather and some extra privacy.

 Also the awnings are perfectly sized for blocking the sun and the rain.

 The window coverings and screens can be rolled up and tied up so that they're out of the

 way but still accessible if you want to later zip it up.

 I really like this, it keeps everything neat and tidy.

 On both sides of the tent there are hanging pouches, perfect for smaller items.

 I use the pouch on the right for keys, wallet, phone or just whatever happens to be in my
