This straightener is just ok. You get what you pay. I had a Remington before that I loved that broke and so I needed a new one. This one does the job and is very lightweight but I do  find that sometimes I have to go over strands multiple times or go a little bit slower in order to get it completely straight

 I usually buy the pink plates, and I don’t know if this one is different, but it FEELS different. It’s a lighter weight. The plates grab my hair and break the pieces. I do NOT recommend this particular iron

Didn’t meet my expectation

This curling iron is a good value and it does curl and straighten hair nicely. Unfortunately, I’ve used it a few times now and there is a strange smell almost like burning Plastic. I wish I would’ve read the reviews here because I did see other people notice a smell but too late.

 I haven't tried to use this for straightening after a wash and blow dry, which as an African_American i normally need a completely different iron for that process. But for day-to-day styling, this is awesome!

(Funny thing, the more expensive iron which cost $130 broke within the 90 day guarantee, which is why i had to buy this while waiting for the replacement) If i could have gotten a full refund for the $130 iron by sending it back, i would because this iron is better and cheaper when it comes to styling my hair.  My hair looks much smoother and I am much more happy with it than I have been in the past. The only thing I would change is, like I think some other reviewers said, I would add a light or a sound or something that revealed when the iron had cooled down. This is one of the last things I do in the morning before I leave for work so it would be good not to have to worry about the temperature.

 I put mine on the second lowest setting (330) and do each side of my hair, which literally takes about 30 seconds. It takes maybe a minute to warm up but it feels like it’s less time than that. I have been very happy with this purchase. I live in the south and have very fine hair that is naturally straight with a lot of flyaways. I hesitated getting a flat iron in the past because I thought it would be more complicated and time-consuming, for only a small amount of improvement. After reading the reviews I decided to give this one a try when it was on sale with a cartwheel discount a few weeks ago

This is a decent flat iron. It has nice features. The feature I love the most is the lock feature. Whenever you turn it on you can lock the temperature by holding the - button for a few seconds

Gets the job done

This flat iron works exceptionally well at straightening hair thoroughly through. No frizz insight whatsoever. The price definitely can't be beat either and is such a great value! My only complaint is that once this tool heats up and even after when not in use it leaves a horrible burnt plastic scent. On the box, there's a warning sign in regards to the toxic chemicals used to create this product

I love this straighter! It straigtenes my hair pretty quickly and I love the purple plates it has. As far as the size, it's not too wide so I can easily do my bangs as well. The only thing that annoys me is how LONG it takes to heat up. I mean I do heat up to the max temperature which is 450, but it takes at least 3 minutes to heat up

I needed a little inexpensive hair straightener. It is okay and it does the job, but I would not order it again. I do not like the pressure it has for the hair. The tip gets pretty hot so it does not allow me to hold the two sides tighter on the hair
