 I was impressed with how effective it was. It heated up quickly and required only 1 or 2 passes over my hair, which cut the time it took for me to straighten and style my hair, and made my hair look silky smooth. My only disappointment was no auto shut off.

First iron in my life I haven't liked, and I've used a lot! I actually use a straightening iron to add waves to my very naturally straight/silky and thick hair. I really wanted to love this straightener but it just did not impress me. I feel like it does not get very hot and does not do a great job of smoothing my hair. I have straight hair but it can be difficult to style at times. I also felt like this straightener kept getting caught in my hair and was pulling some of my hair out each time I used it

Not the best

It's a nice flat iron, heats up well and evenly. Quickly straightens my hair and leaves it soft and smooth and was a steal at under $40 for a Rusk brand product. My only complaint is that it pinches my hair sometimes (an issue I never had with my Paul Mitchell that sadly broke after 9 long years). Have to give it 3 stars due to the pinching/pulling of my hair but otherwise no complaints

Great iron but it pinches my hair

 Hairs get grabbed in the front end and if not careful they get yanked. Second worst is that it’s too loose between blades and you have to use considerable pressure to close around the hair to get it to work correctly.

Short term product- doesn’t last.

So far great product, recently we bought an hsi & the electric outlet contraption fell apart & return was only 3 months very disappointing since we only had 5 months & use maybe 10 minutes a day. Rusk is the "salon" product available to consumers & we recently bought rusk blowdryer & love it. So we decided to try rusk flatiron so far extremely happy with this.

Not the best hair straightener out there

 Once I received it I used it and was very pleased with how easily it straightened my hair and how soft it made it feel. Then I went to use it the very next day and it wouldn't heat up at all. I plugged it into different outlets, turned the heat to multiple different settings and even left it on for an hour to see if it would heat up just a little, but nothing. I don't know what could have gone wrong in the span of less than 24 hours to make it stop working, but I was very disappointed as I was hoping the reviews would ring true

The cord NEVER gets tangled either, which is a HUGE plus if you use flat irons to create the perfect curls.
