The haste is what makes this good potentially although 7 mana is still a lot for White/Red. Feels like a Planar Chaos card a bit but it's cool they are exploring new design space for White/Red.

They removal of anti-skate is extremely annoying.
This was my first turntable, and I read a lot of reviews of how amazing it played out of box. Great! It did perform very well, but it left off one key feature - antiskate. They claim it "auto-adjusts" but it's actually just a magnet glued in place. This is an obvious cost-cutting measure for Rega. W...

Rega Planar 1 Plus Review « 7Review
Rega seems to have set the Planar 1 Plus to be inherently forgiving, no matter the condition of vinyl it spins. In terms of the equipment it is likely to be used with, this makes sense and it does a better job than most of keeping the poorly pressed Meds by Placebo listenable, and it is able to handle well-worn records pretty well too.

My first setup in a long time. After being away from vinyl for 30 years.
Rega Planar 1 for turntable, Art DJ PRE II preamp, JDS Atom Amp for headphones, and homebew Raspberry PI streaming lossless from the net via a simple USB DAC from Soundblaster. On the lookout to replace my AudioTechnica m40x headphones next. Nothing fancy, but I am enjoying it! It’s a lot of fun getting back into it without going too crazy.
Rega Planar 1 Plus
The faster and more potent musings of Goldfrapp’s Rocket allow the Planar 1 Plus to show off its impressive rhythmic assurance. It does a brilliant job of engaging at an emotional level and pulling the listener into the music. This has always been a Rega strongpoint, but it is still noteworthy just how entertaining the P1 Plus is

Rega Planar 1 Turntable Review
Arms Riga makes their own the planar one uses the RB 1/10 tone arm, which is specifically designed to work with the Riga, carbon moving magnet cartridge. They comes pre mounted on the plane r1. While this limits you in terms of flexibility, it's a great combination and again provides incredible value

Easy to set up and sounds terrific. It outperforms the much more expensive turntable it replaced in my system.
