 It would only open 1 inch. On an item as expensive as this, I would expect better quality control. Once I received the 2nd order, they fit the box springs and mattress perfectly. I chose to order this item instead of the one for the box springs because from comments I read, it is made of a heavier material

 This mattress protector has all those things. It is certified Allergy and Asthma friendly which is awesome and lab tested to be a bedbug proof in addition to being comfortable, breathable and waterproof. So it's 100% polyester on the outside and the inside is a polyurethane laminate and that's basically the waterproof part of it so it packaging comes in. this and lots of cool information in addition to some plastic cable ties and instructions

 all the information you're gonna need to you know, trust that you're putting something on your mattress that's really gonna protect you at night. And it did pass my waterproof test. I for 10 ounces of water in here. left it for a couple hours

 The queen-size does cost almost 130 dollars. So my final recommendation is definitely go for this mattress encasement if you've got allergies, or you're allergic to or have asthma or any sort of sensitivity or exposure. And that means that you really need to prevent certain things from getting into your mattress. Um, I Think that they've done a great job of, you know, telling you how they tested things, what materials are included to make it possible

As always protect-a-bed products are high quality but I have a 14" mattress with a 2 inch latex topper and I called twice before ordering to make sure that the Queen 11-18" encasement would fit over both. I was assured that it would but to my disappointment it is so tight that it has completely killed the soft feel of my bed. Very disappointed both in the experience and the incorrect information I was given. This is a waste of over $200 for me since they will not accept a return

 We washed it before use, and this printing started peeling off. If you did in fact get it zipped around your mattress, I wouldn't recommend taking it off to wash it because you may never get it zipped again. The fabric and construction are great quality, but the zipper makes it useless. With a heavier zipper this would be awesome, but "as is" it's just not worth the money

ive Never had a mattress protector to Compare to but this one is super nice and you can also feel the coolingness laying in bed and i love a cool bed. I'd definitely buy other for my daughters beds. Before receiving this product I never heard of it before, I mean I guess I also never really looked for them either, but I'm so happy I found it! Just bought this product and haven't had occasion to test it yet so it is hard to give a proper review. I can only comment on the quality of the product. It appeared to be a good quality encasement and it easily covered my 13inch mattress.

Just put it on the mattress today. Seems of good quality, time will tell. My mattress is 14 inches thick and it fits pretty snug so I would want to try putting in on any mattress over 15 inches. It better last because it was not cheap
