After several months of using AUX and “headphones only” mode to use one remote after power up, I finally caved and bought a soundbar with HDMI connection thinking the convenience & sound quality would be worth the upgrade. Wrong. The difference between a Samsung K360 via AUX and Polk Signa S2 via HDMI was minor at best.

I bought this on sale before Black Friday - one of those Open Box deals from Amazon. As warned, the packaging was severely damaged. Everything looked re-wrapped, except the HDMI Cable. So maybe I cannot fault Polk or Amazon for my dismay when it did not play ANY sound. I tried everything. At the age...

Or still a cheaper option than the Sony would be the [Polk S2](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H1B3PY9/). A great system with tons of positive reviews and coming from a decent speaker manufacturer. In the same vein you could also step up a bit from the Sony and go for either the [JBL Bar 2.1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WGXFHFJ/) or the [Klipsch Cinema 400](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B45R9CF/), both sure to offer better sound than the Sony. Personally I'd probably go with the Polk S2 and save a few bucks while still getting a great soundbar.

It took longer to get it out of the box than it did to set it up. Set up is a snap. I did expect a bit of a wow factor. I bought the Polk Audio Signa S2 at Best buy and the woofer delays coming on or isn't reliable. I'm using an optical cable. The bluetooth is prolly the best option for constancy but the quality is inferior to the HDMI and Optical. Anyways, returning it.
