I also vote for the Kakuno, though if you're really eager to spend the money there are a couple of the Pilot Custom pens that take the CON-70 and are very nice.

It's a good pen, FA nib not that flexy though. You really can't push it that much, but it'll go from EF to 1.0 pretty easily though. Nib is very springy. Way more hard starts than you'd expect from a pen this price though. Decent daily writer. Which the feed was better.

The largest nib that it’s equipped with doesn’t write as well as the smaller nibs like the falcon nib on the Elba .

Yes, the catalog of Pilot says K-500RS could come with EF, F, FM, M, B and that is it, but... the cap ring says Pilot Custom.... Ah, yes, this pen is absolutely fantastic. It was rather expensive (4,000 Japanese Yen) which typically goes beyond my budget... But I could not resist.... And now I feel my 4,000 Japanese Yen has been well spent... Edit: I’ve looked at the Custom 92 demonstrator, the custom 743, 823, & 912 this morning. I think part of my reticence with pilot was bad experiences with both the metropolitan (very scratchy) and the Prera (leaks from nib and never worked right). Also wanted to mention I kinda like a gusher, I like inky pages and hands since I work from home it doesn’t matter and I love to see the colors and characteristics of the ink. I think I’m starting to rule out the regular Falcon and looking more to the Customs with the FA/Falcon nib both for ink capacity and reviews and price is near to me I’d rather spend the extra $50-100 and do it right the first time and have a pen I love for the next 30 years.
