Pelikan Souverän M805

I am struggling to justify its cost over the slightly plainer Guilloche collection which for all intents and purposes shares the same nib. Pelikan M805 Stresemann - I like the color, and the brass (?) filling system. My only reservation here is that it is more of the same considering I already have a M600, but I fully concede that the larger nib and overall size will make for a different writing experience.

Visconti Homo sapiens Bronze Age I really wanted to like this pen, I hated the nib. Dealer was upset with me for returning, “I should not expect a Visconti HS to write like a Pelikan M800” 🤣. Pelikan M805 Stresemann, striped pattern messed up, returned it to the dealer who was very understanding about it. Later purchased M1005 Stresemann and never looked back 😁.

Got the pen at a great price. Just like some others have mentioned, it doesn't come in a big box with the white leatherette pouch; it arrives inside a plastic box in a tiny box which fits the pen just right. The gray stripes match quite well with the black of the rest of the pen and the silver trims...

Pelikan M805 Stresemann w/ extra fine- Sailor Souboku. 4. 1928-ish Wahl Eversharp BCHR Gold Seal Decoband w/ manifold- Currently un-inked but plan to return it to service once some more ink arrives. I have no clue how some of the folks here manage 10+ inked pens.

This FP looks like a Stresemann, is priced like a non-Stresemann (100 euros cheaper), and I am surprised that Pelikan accepts such a situation pending: are they discounted because they are second choice, or fakes?

Least: Pelikan M805. The build is flawless, no seams or imperfections, immaculate high gloss. It’s beautiful. The nib ALWAYS writes first time, never skips and is smooth and juicy.

Great price. Pen is perfect. No thanks to the tremendously terrible packaging. It is a miracle it arrived intact. If you order here you are rolling the dice. I got lucky.

the m1000 has a [softer/bouncier nib](https://imgur.com/wi7YqE5) than the smaller Pelikans, and [isn't that gigantic](https://imgur.com/N68KvvT)

This is a nice pen. I like its size (on the larger side). Mine came from England, wrapped in a cheap crappy box you get from a $2 pen. Perhaps, that is the reason for its lower cost compared to much higher US prices. I paid $287 for mine, which is roughly $200 more than other my favorite pen. I don'...
