Very nice pen.
Writes fantastic and feels like a good old fashioned Parker. Beware of the cheap China made copies sold on the auction sites. They are total junk. If you don't want to spend the big bucks on a platinum Montblanc, this is the alternative and feels like quality. Great compromise. Parker does a great j...

A Modern Classic: The Parker Sonnet — The Gentleman Stationer
The Verdict. For all its quirks, I would still call the Sonnet a modern classic. Parker has made this pen for nearly twenty-five years, and it has a loyal following, myself included
Recs for a first gold nib pen?
I would recommend a Parker Sonnet with a 18k nib. Just thought of a Sheaffer Targa. They are not made anymore but you can pick them up from eBay easily enough. Their inlaid nibs are beautiful and they write very smoothly.

Parker Sonnet Great Expectations Subtle Big Red Fine Fountain Pen Review — The Pen Addict
If I had my way I would want a finer nib, but this is a good stock gold fine nib. It’s not all roses with the Sonnet though. While there are many pens I will pay a premium for, Parker is asking for even more than that here

I love the Parker Jotter and take it everywhere with me. But I wanted something more that could compliment that level of intimacy and personal finesse of thinking that one brings to their own writing sessions, and the Sonnet does just that. When I sit down to collect my thoughts for journaling, shor...

Not what they used to be
I had one of these pens in the mid '70's - 90's. I lost it after using it for many years and decided to get another. I'm disappointed. It's lighter, the etching is not nearly as deep as previously (likely because the lightened it by making the case thinner, therefore they can't etch as deeply) and m...

A Classic Parker Pen
My father has had this style of pen as long as I can remember. I noticed he had lost his before we moved him into a memory care facility, so for Father’s Day we replaced it. He was thrilled!! This style is especially advantageous because the waffle imprint prevents the pen from sliding around while ...

Bought my first pen (Parker Jotter), need refill recommendations!
I know its not exactly an entry level pen but its worth checking out - Parker Sonnet. I believe its all you want from a pen: a brand you know, its definetely heavier than jotter, its a twist pen and its a great writer! And they are readily available on the after market for a lot cheaper than new.
