 Hi, I'm Simply Mary, and today I'm showing you this Paris Rhone Electric Water Kettle that was sent to me absolutely free in exchange for my 100% honest review and opinion. There are two pieces that come with this, three including the lid, so you have your base unit that plugs into the wall, and this has a nice little cord keeper on the bottom, and then you have your actual kettle. This kettle actually has a large capacity compared to the other electric kettles I have seen, and it simply sits right on the base. You have six temperature settings with this kettle, and it will hold that temperature for you as well, which I thought was really cool

 This kettle did hold at 185, and I got curious, and I turned it up to 212, and it actually reached a rolling boil very rapidly. I am so happy with this kettle and very impressed with its performance. I absolutely love the brand Paris Roan, and every product I have tested and reviewed from Paris Roan has been simply amazing, so I would like to thank them for sending me this electric kettle to test and review. Doesn’t get the temperature right.

 It has a few features that make it stand out compared to the others. So what I like about this one is that it has the LED display on it and it tells you exactly what temperature is currently in here. And you can set it for anywhere between 100 to 212 degrees if your family likes different temperatures for different drinks. And you would use these buttons to change that temperature

You can boil it and then when you're done you can just keep it warm and it'll sustain that same temperature for up to two hours once it's done. So no need to heat, let it cool down, heat again

 This time I set the kettle to 195 degrees to try and counteract the residual heating I noticed the first time. It again heated up very slowly and then finished at 199 degrees (or so I thought). Using a handheld instant read thermometer, I checked the temperature and the water was around 207 degrees again despite the kettle itself saying 199 degrees.  Maybe it just likes 207 degrees? I tried it a third time and set the kettle temperature to 207 and turned it on

By now I was suspicious of this thing's accuracy so once again I used my instant read thermometer and tested the temperature

After purchase, I ran a few tests to see how well it performed and to sum it up: the temperature control varied so much it may as well not have had it at all.  First, I filled the kettle to the maximum line and set it to 200 degrees. The kettle heated up slowly until the temperature read 201 degrees, then the kettle shut off but the water continued heating up to 207 degrees.  I tried again

This kettle seems to overshoot whatever temperature I set it at by about 10-20 degrees which is quite inconvenient.  Update: the team reached out to me and offered me an Amazon gift card to cover the cost of the kettle upon hearing of this temperature control difficulty, very nice and quick customer service!
