Yeah and a lot of people a lot of reviews have said that the top is hard to get off and it really isn't I mean if if you want to use a handle there there it is now strictly to get back on and a proper seal is using this whole notch right here and putting that in first and then pushing down and there's a proper seal. This valve is really convenient and with the whistle it makes it even more convenient. And it's not heavy, that's very light and it really it takes heat very well and I get a boil of water very fast

Beautiful but not 100% perfect

 This was dangerous, because it could have scalded her if she put her hand by it. (It also lengthened the time it took to boil). Plus, we paid too much for a defective tea pot, regardless of anything else But my daughter getting burned was my main concern. Amazon, of course, was very courteous, and immediately sent her a new one, but because of a miscommunication she ended up paying $15 for return shipping, (and Amazon has a shipping center blocks away from her downtown Seattle office)
