Versatile
Owned this for the past month and have tried many different fuel types, even automotive gasoline. It takes a lot of practice to learn how to prime it properly, but it works very well after you overcome the learning curve.
It does NOT come with a fuel bottle, so be sure to add one to cart. I brought...

REVIEW | Optimus Nova multifuel stove (15 months almost everyday use)
First of all, we chose the Optimus Nova among other multi-fuel stoves. Any other type of gas stove (propane, butane etc) isn't an option for us, because a) we are on a long-term trip around countries where it can be difficult to replace or refill the bottle, b) we use our stove not only for a quick ...

I Love this stove
I originally purchased this stove for backpacking, but have moved to an alcohol stove for solo trips in order to cut weight. This sucker is a little on the heavy side, but all tanks are. That said when car camping, or when with a group this stove can't be beat. Its super stable, the flame control is...

Love the stove
I’ve had my Optimus Nova for about 15 years now, and just bought a second one as a gift. Love the stove, it has traveled the world with me, we even cooked all our meals on it for 2 months while living in South America. Take it backpacking every winter, even in extreme cold, lights right up. We’ve st...

This summer we purchased a camping trailer and soon realized that we needed to have a second Nova. Moosejaw hooked us up. The new Nova (now with over 50 uses) spo...

What type is the Optimus Hiker, 8R, Ranger, SVEA?
My personal favorite is the Optimus Nova or Optimus Polaris. These can use a variety of fuels (jet fuel, unleaded gas, kerosene, diesel and white gas) and have an innovatative magnetic cleaning wand. They also have all metal pump parts and are built a bit better than the MSR stuff.
Just as easy as a canister stove
i was looking for a stove to cook lunch on at work, so i started with the easiest out there a canister stove ... so about half a million $5 cans of fuel later I started to think I may need something a little better than a pocket rocket.,,,,so here i am, it was on sale nice adjustable flame unlike mo...
