New Huawei mate pad paper eink 10.3" !

Dmn. Now I think I might have to put off buying that Onyx Boox Max Lumi 2 for academic reading. I'm looking forward to that smart refresh technology hopefully making pinching and zooming much easier so that I can settle for a 10 inch display.Frankly, I'd feel more secure with a big company because I hear so many problems with Onyx Boox customer support.

Works flawlessly but not very good for reading stuff outside the kindle store. Was lucky to get a onyx boox note 2 for ₹9500 on olx. I would recommend you get an pnyx boox device if you can find one used in good condition.

Onyx Max as the previous posters have said. Onyx has the huge advantage of having Google play store and so you can so much more with it.

Looking for a ereader for PDF and possibility to highlight text

So earlier this month I bought a 13.3 inch e-ink tablet (Boox Max Lumi 2). It seems pretty good for reading PDFs, but I haven't done a great deal of written annotation (more like just playing around with the notes, lol). I've seen videos on highlighting the text, but for my current PDFs I haven't had need of that yet. No issues using the stock overdrive app to get the PDFs and epubs from my computer to the device, and there are other options available without needing access to a store.

i really wanted to love this

I already owned the Onyx Boox Note 10.3" and love it. It's just a bit slow. I thought this Onyx Boox Max 2 pro would be a better option. It has twice the memory and twice the RAM and it's faster and has a better refresh rate. But it's so BIG! I wish the smaller Onyx devices had better specs.

I highly recommend Onyx Boox. The Note Air is a little above your budget, but is definitely big enough for pdfs. There are cheaper Onyx Boox e-readers that might work better for you, but I am not sure of their names
