I have a Nakamichi Shockwafe Pro 7.1.4, however Die yo my setup above a fireplace its too bulky and tall to fit under the TV mounted on the wall above the fireplace/ mantel. I need a soundbar with Atmos capability (surround speaker not needed) that has a flat profile height so it won't block the TV.

Bose 900 (+ sub) vs Samsung HW-Q950A vs Sonos Arc (+sub) vs Nakamichi Shockwafe-Ultra 9.2 vs ?

Bose and Sonos need rears to be in the same league as the other two. I have a Nakamichi 7.1.4 while next door neighbor has Sonos Arc bar only. After all I’ve read about how great Sonos is, I was shocked that my entry-level Nakamichi sounds much more powerful and immersive. The Sonos created some Atmos effects but nothing compared to the full bubble effect I hear.

Soundbar for my apartment

Ignore the purists who frequent hometheater. Most refuse to acknowledge how far soundbars have come. I’ve had a multi-channel TV sound system since the days of VHS HiFi and Dolby Logic. I retired a traditional AVR and wired 5.1 speakers in favor of a Nakamichi Shockwafe Pro 7.1.4 over a year ago and have never been happier.
