Moonman M2

3. I wish the Platinum Procyon was an eyedropper pen instead of a cartridge/converter job — that's the one thing the Moonman M2 does better.

I have used a lot of fountain pens. This pen is nice for it's clear body, absolutely huge ink reservoir, and fairly decent flow. It's like writing with a mechanical pencil. Moonman M2, Fine nib, inked with Diamine Writer's Blood, partly because the ink looks amazing sloshing around in a demonstrator and partly because I like the wetness of the ink in this pen.

This is a beautiful pen. I love the way it looks and writes. The flow is excellent, but it is a little bit leaky at the tip. So I purchased the Moonman M2, I just thought it was such a sleek demonstrator pen so figured I'd give it a go since it was only $20. That said, once she can refill on her own I'm getting her a Moonman M2. It's basic, cheap, and my go too for inks that I feel require a dedicated pen. Plus it's really easy to change the nib on for future upgrades and trying different nib types on a budget.

It's too bad it leaks a bit and the cap cracked when I dropped it on the floor one day so the plastic isn't the hardest or best quality to go along with the washer that was suppose to hold back the ink. Other than that I do like how it feels in my hand and how it writes in general.

They're incredibly well made! The nibs are really smooth. They're comparable to or better than most of my more expensive pens. Both PenBBS and Moonman (aka Majohn) are well worth the price and the wait.

EDIT: I bought a replacement extra fine nib unit and fine from an ebay seller and it wrote perfectly so I'm guessing the one I bought here that came with the pen was a fluke.
