A good moisturizer primarily consist of 3 components - 1. Humectants / Hydrators, 2. Emollients, and 3. Occlusives. Humectants ensure your skin gets the boost of hydration, hence reducing dryness. Emollients moisturize the skin and reduce itching and flaking. Lastly, Occlusives reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL) hence holding the moisture inside. This moisturizer contains an optimum blend of all these humectants - Sodium Polyglutamate (holds 4 times more water than hyaluronic acid), Vitamin B5, Xylitylglucoside, Glycerine and Amino acids to hydrate skin from within. Squalane and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride as emollients for long term moisturization, soft & supple skin, without making skin oily. It also contains Shea Butter which is an excellent occlusive and locks the moisture inside our skin. The product is infused with 3% Sepicalm, which combines amino acids (building blocks of proteins) with minerals (Magnesium & Potassium) to soothe the irritation, calm the redness, and relieve the stinging sensation. It's tested to reduce redness after UV stress by about 25% and -90% reduction of stinging intensity of Lactic Acid within 1 minute. Performance of Sepicalm is further boosted by adding Oat in 2 forms; Oat Extract and Colloidal Oat to further calm the skin.

 It's not a con actually. It's something that can totally be ignored but just because it's my job to mention each and everything about a product that I'm reviewing, I had to mention it. Once you apply this product, you have to wait for at least I'd say 30 seconds to 45 seconds for it to get absorbed into your skin. Now my final thoughts on this product are number one, I love this moisturizer a lot for my dry skin definitely

 During night time, this has to be the last step in your skincare routine and during daytime, this has to be applied before sunscreen. This also has got oat extract and colloidal oat to further calm down the skin. So basically the two ingredients that are mentioned on the packaging in the front that is sepicam and oat are skin soothing ingredients. So this is a skin soothing light moisturizer

 It looks thick no doubt (think nivea), but u need just the tiniest amount, and it just spreads and melts into your skin, and actually feels like u've hydrated ur skin. I use one dot each on each cheek, forehead, nose, chin, jawline and neck. I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin, and even tho it felt nice at first, I started noticing an increase in the sebum production overnight. But it's better than not moisturizing at all or using a perfume laden cream that doesn't even moisturize well

Edited after 1 month use: I was impressed with this moisturizer in the beginning, mainly becoz of its amazing ingredients list and the calming hydration it provided. The quality and honesty they're offering at this cost is really good for Indian standards..

Best fragrance free moisturizer for dry skin in the Indian market, a steal at this price.

Although the product assures that's its formulated for acne prone skin, all it did was give me multiple break out when I am already dealing with PCOD acne on my cheeks. Also the cream based texture can be really annoying specially if you put on sunscreen after applying this because it makes your skin sweat in a weird way, almost like a moisty sweat which I honestly found irritating to deal with. Anywhere I went, between 5-10 mins had to pick out a napkin from my bag to tap the sweat off from my face.  I bought this with low expectations and thats why I am not too disappointed considering how the price was under 400, so it was not that big of a loss for me and one of my family member can always use it when it comes to just mere usage but I would recommend that if you have oily skin and easily sweat and acne issues then stick to using serums and then covering it up with a gel based moisturiser

Not for everyone with acne issues.

 I am now using this cream for winters and it isn't too bad. But for all the hype about it being lightweight and calming for my sensitive skin, it does nothing for me. If it is just for moisturizing, I would rather go for a different product than this one.  My skin type: Oily, acne prone, but gets flaky dry on the surface and needs hydration; sensitive to random unknown things
