EDIT:  the iRobot reviews are nearly as awful as the Miele robot reviews.  But one thing the iRobots seems to be much louder which is a deal breaker for a robot vacuum for us.

  So I clean the hepa filters after every run or two.  The container gets emptied easily, but I use my shop vac to clean the filter to keep the suction as high as possible.  I also cut all my wife and dog's hair out of the beater bar, and clean the pivots of hair when vacuuming the filter.

Their hair is everywhere, it will float through the house in little wufts. 

Is there a vacuum robot that can handle such hair, without getting clogged or something within a day? Thanks in for the advice!

Incredibly QUIET for a robot vacuum cleaner, does well with pet hair, but at a higher price point.

 No issues with transitions to other rooms. I haven't bothered with the app yet. Highly satisfied!  I’d buy it again. Great Robot Vac!

 I love my Miele upright vacuum so it must have been made in Germany.  I don't know how it compares to other robot vacuums on cleaning because I've only had this one.

Not worth it!

Don’t be fooled. This unit is made in Korea, not Germany. It is not up to Miele standards in my opinion. The first one I had was replaced under warranty because it just stopped working

 Lesson learned. Make sure future Miele purchases are made in Germany if you are expecting high end quality and durability. The RX2 Scout should be a hard pass based on my experience with it.

Huge disappointment

I wanted to like this robot, but the performance is sub-par compared to my 10 yo Rumba. Miele is a lot less noisy, but it does not navigate well. In the kitchen I have a soft layer in the working area, and crumbs are not being picked up at the edges. I don't find the wi-fi feature helpful since it gets stuck randomly

 So I don't use it when I'm not around. I do like the design of the dust collection box. Having said all that, I do not recommend this Miele product ( I do own other Miele products).

Poor quality

THIS UNIT GETS STUCK ON EVERYTHING. CAN'T TRANSITION FROM HARDWOOD TO CARPET AT ALL, GETS STUCK IF A PIECE OF FURNITURE SITS SLIGHTLY OFF THE FLOOR. IF LUCKY IT MAY VACUUM FOR 5 MINUTES BEFORE GETTING HUNG UP. IT IS A REALLY BAD PRODUCT ESPECIALLY FOR MIELE THEY SHOULD SERIOUSLY DISCONTINUE IT

Really poor execution on the robotics as well as user interface. It’s just a mess. I didn’t expect life would suddenly turn into an episode of the Jetsons around here but this thing simply is not ready for the marketplace.
