It vacuums good enough, and is lightweight and quiet, but its controls are inconveniently on the canister itself, and its carpet agitator is mediocre at best. I didn't know what a canister was, so I went through your vacuum vs. price point faq, Consumer Reports, and Youtube. This led me to the Miele C3 Line. The vacuum store suggested the Calima, since I wanted massive suction and have no carpet. It cost me about $750 after tax.

The attachments specially the one with with brush or bristles ,..the bristles are really cheap . It’s not thick like some the bristles I see in other attachments. Don’t buy this expensive vacuum with cheap attachments

I would recommend a Miele C3 canister style vacuum. I have a more basic one, without the power head and it's great for hardwood, tile and low-pile carpet.

Assuming you're in the U.S., there isn't really much shopping around that can be done with the Complete C3. Miele's cheaper models (Classic C1 & Compact C1) that're available at stores like BB&B get occasional discounts, but Miele seems pretty strict about enforcing a consistent MSRP online for the high end vacuums.
