I would like to have more leaned back tonality. Past gear experience: I bought the meze 99 noir while I liked the sound of it very much, the suspension strap mechanism was not big enough to fit my head unfortunately and made me very uncomfortable after 40 minutes of use. Tried the verum 1 mk2 afterwards but it is very heavy and it barely fits into my head (it sounds great as well).

Closed backs so noise leak shouldn't be problem and they're very easy to drive (suitable for phones, laptops, etc. - no need for amp).

The Meze 99 Noir had more of the guitar energy I'm looking for, but the bass bleed into the mid-bass was too overpowering. I had the Sundara for a short time, but the ear cups were too small. I bought these because every review I've seen of these said they'd last forever and have too much bass. The build quality seems pretty nice, they could have polished the brass/gold colored fittings a bit more but that's personal preference, the wood cups honestly feel like plastic but I'd rather not...

For good bass and overall well rounded AKG 371. Meze 99 Noir, Neo, or Classics if most of the music you listen to have bass.

Pros:

- Sound quality : You can hear distinct sounds playing at the same time very well.

- Nice wood design, looks very good.

Cons:

- Bass not that deep ( I don't know why some people in the comment said there is too many bass ... ).

- Microphone simply inexistant, it's physically there on the cabl...

If you decide on the 99's get the MEZE 99 Noir off drop, it's the same headphone but $100 cheaper (and it looks better imo)
