- Suggested sizing based on hand measurements is inaccurate
- Worn for 1150 days in Jackson Wyoming
Size is off
There is a huge disconnect between the suggested sizing based on hand measurements and the mitts size. Ordered L based on hand measurements that are close to the upper end of the size boundary. Received mitts that seem an XXL in size when compared to the other manufacturers. Definitely would recomme...

Good gloves, but they dumped a great feature
Great gloves that keep your hands warm. I had the prior generation, and they had the best feature.....retention straps. Unfortunately, Marmot got rid of them on this generation, which they don't ention, and is the BIGGEST drawback. A deal breaker? It almost is, but maybe they’ll bring it back in the...

Reasonably warm but run quite big
Lightweight and reasonably warm, but run quite large. Most size large gloves are a bit tight on me, but my hands were swimming in these. That worked out pretty well actually because I could easily fit a liner glove in and that combination made these quite warm on a cloudy and breezy 10 degree day sk...

Not an Expedition Mitt, just a name.
These are pretty good.
= Marmot Expedition Mitt
+ Roomy, enuf for thin glove or very thick liner. Will be too roomy for those with thin hands, who will want one size smaller than usual.
+ Rain/snow protection
+ Reflective thumb spot
– Not for weather much below -10°C.
– Not for heavy duty

I'd like more insulation in the palms
They are warm, but not warm enough for me. The insulation in the back of the hand is great, but there's quite little in the palm. I'd rather have a lot more. It would of course lead to worse dexterity, but when you decide to wear mitts you already choose to sacrifice dexterity for warmth, so at leas...

Some reviews seemed to say your hands will be soooo warm in the coldest conditions, I did not find this to be the case. For coldest condition I found a thin inner glove was necessary to do an excellent job. As for average cold twenty degrees F and above they were fine.
