To summarize - Seriously, a missed opportunity. If you are just an office/productivity focused person, just get the regular MX Keys and pass on this overpriced limitation. If you are an enthusiast... well you were never considering this as an option anyway. If you want a competitive alternative to the MX Mechanical Mini, go for the NuPhy Air 75.

i have a shitty mechanical keyboard that came with my gaming PC, but i really dislike it, and having 2 keyboards on my desk is excessive, even with my peripheral shelf i have to stow everything away. the MX Keys is pretty terrible for gaming, so i have 2 keyboards for now. had my eyes on the Logitech G915, but tbh i can't justify that pricetag for a keyboard which charges using Micro-USB.

Not ‘gaming’ keyboards per-se, but the Logitech MX Keys or MX Mechanical Mini are great compact options. They both can connect either via Bluetooth or with other Logitech peripherals that use the Bolt receiver.
